This experiment was conducted to evaluate the detoxication effects of aflatoxin- detoxifizyme on AA broiler fed with dietary containing aflatoxin B1. 624 1-d-old AA broilers were randomly divided into 3 groups, 8 replicates per group. The control group, AFB1 group and ADTZ group were fed to basal diet, basal diet + 0.1 mg/kg AFB1 and basal diet + 0.1 mg/kg AFB1+ 0.3% ADTZ, respectively. Trial was conducted in two phases (1-21d, 22-42d), totally lasted for 42 days. The results showed that:(1) AFB1 suppressed the growth performance of broilers significantly. In AFB1 group, at the first phase (from 1-21d), average daily gain (ADG) was decreased significantly (P<0.05), average daily feed intake (ADFI) was decreased (P>0.1), and feed/gain (F/G) was increased (P=0.07), as compared with control, respectively. At the second phase (from 22-42d), ADG was decreased significantly (P<0.05), ADFI was decreased (P>0.1), and F/G was increased significantly (P<0.05), as compared with control, respectively. From 1-42d, ADG was decreased significantly (P<0.05), ADFI was decreased (P>0.1), and F/G was increased significantly (P<0.05), as compared with control, respectively. The above mentioned parameters were returned to nomal levels by addition of 0.3% ADTZ to the AFB1-contaminated diet. ADG and ADFI were raised significantly (P<0.05), while F/G was decreased (P>0.1). Compared with that of control, ADFI of ADTZ group in the second phase and the whole course was increased significantly, and the feed efficiency of ADTZ group did not reach the control's level. Other parameters were returned to normal levels (P>0.05).(2) Compared with that of control, succinic dehydrogenase (SDH) activity of AFB1 group was decreased significantly (P<0.05), choline esterase (CHE) activity was decreased (P=0.072), whereas alkaline phosphatase (AKP) activity was increased (P=0.065), SDH activity of ADTZ group was raised significantly (P<0.05), CHE activity was raised (P=0.06), and AKP activity was decreased (P=0.052), as compared with that of AFB1 group, respectively. Compared with that of control, hepatic metabolic enzyme activities showed no significant difference in ADTZ group.(3) Significant affect of 0.1 mg/kg AFB1 on hepatic anti-oxidation of broilers was observed. Compared with that of control, glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities of AFB1 group were decreased significantly (P<0.05), glutathione reductase (GR) activity was decreased (P=0.071) and catalase (CAT) activity was decreased (P>0.1), respectively. MDA content in liver was increased (P=0.061). Compared with that of AFB1 group, SOD activity of ADTZ group was raised (P=0.056), GSH-Px, GR and CAT activities were raised (P>0.1), whereas MDA content in liver was decreased (P=0.082). Compared with that of control, hepatic antioxidant indices were returned to control's level, showed no significant difference in ADTZ group.(4) 0.1mg/kg AFB1 made chicken serum total protein, albumin, globulin tended to decrease (P>0.1). All serum protein indices returned to normal levels after addition of 0.3% ADTZ (P>0.05).(5) Compared with that of control, serum glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase (GOT) activity of AFB1 group was increased significantly (P<0.05). Glutamic-pyruvic transaminase (GPT) activity was increased (P=0.094), and alkaline phosphatase (AKP) activity was increased (P>0.1). Compared with that of AFB1 group, serum GOT, GPT and AKP activities of ADTZ group were decreased (P>0.1).(6) AFB1 made birds growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor-1 levels in serum tended to decrease (P>0.1). With addition of ADTZ, the two hormone levels returned to normal levels. Thyroid hormone (T3, T4) and insulin levels in serum showed no significant difference between the three treatments.(7) Nutrient digestibility was significantly affected by AFB1 at the first phase of the experiment. In AFB1 group, apparent digestibility rate of crude protein (CP), ether extracts (EE), Ca and P were decreased significantly (P<0.05), as compared with the control. In ADTZ group, above mentioned parameters were raised significantly (P<0.05), as compared with that of AFB1 group, and showed no significant difference. At the second phase of the experiment, all nutrient digestibility had no significant difference among the three treatments.
