| Numbers of sheep and total output of mutton in Inner Mongolia ranked first in China.Serum mineral element contents and physiological and biochemical indexes are important for evaluation of sheep.At present,the status of mineral nutrition and physiological and biochemical indexes of confinedness sheep in Inner Mongolia remains unclear,which restricts seriously the establishment of scientific supplementary feeding systems for confinedness sheep.In this study,blood samples from 1890 fasting and non-pregnant confinedness sheep were collected from 7breeding enterprises in 6 banners of Inner Mongolia,including Jarud Banner,Jalaid Banner,Baarin Right Banner,Togtoh County,Siziwang Banner and Wushen Banner.The 22 mineral elements and 13 physiological and biochemical indexes in the serum were analysed.The results are as follows:(1)The contents of mineral elements in the confinedness sheep serum from different breeding enterprises were different.The content of Ca in the sheep serum from 7 breeding enterprises was deficient,which was lower than the reference value by 10%.The content of Cu in the sheep serum from Galutu sheep breeding farm was deficient,which was lower than the reference value by 18%.The content of Se in the mutton sheep serum from Dorper sheep breeding farm did not detected.The contents of Se in the mutton sheep serum from Manghatu cooperative and Galutu sheep breeding farm were in the reference ranges,while the content of Se in the mutton sheep serum from other breeding enterprises were in the borderline deficiencies range.The contents of Mn in mutton sheep serum from Dorper sheep breeding farm and Galutu sheep breeding farm did not detected.The contents of Mn in mutton sheep serum from Dumei animal husbandry,Manghatu cooperative,Muxing animal husbandry and Sino Sheep Industry were deficent,which was lower than the reference value by about 21%.The content of Fe and Zn in the sheep serum from 7 breeding enterprises are below and in the reference value,respectively.(2)The serum element contents of mutton sheep in the confinedness & grazing and confinedness patterns were significantly different.The contents of Ca,I,Zn,Cu,Mn,Pb,V,Ni,Sm,Gd,Yb,Dy,Er,Tm and Tb of sheep serum in the confinedness& grazing pattern were significantly higher than that in the confinedness pattern.Pb,Gd,Yb,Er,Tm and Tb increased by more than 40%.The contents of P,K,Fe,Se,Tl and Ho of sheep serum in the confinedness pattern were significantly higher than that in the confinedness & grazing pattern,P increased by more than 35%.(3)The physiological and biochemical indexes in sheep serum from different breeding enterprises were different.The superoxide dismutase activity and total antioxidant capacity in the confinedness sheep serum from Dumei animal husbandry was higher.The contents of growth hormone and estradiol in the confinedness sheep serum from Muxing animal husbandry was higher.The contents of glutamic-pyruvic transaminase and glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase in the confinedness sheep serum from Manghatu cooperative was lower.The results indicated may be stronger antioxidant capacities of confinedness sheep in Dumei animal husbandry,and may be better growth and reproduction performance of confinedness sheep in Muxing animal husbandry,and the liver function of the confinedness sheep from Manghatu cooperative may be stronger.But further verification is needed.This study provide foundation for developing provincial standards of confinedness sheep serum mineral elements,and scientific data for supplementary feeding of mineral elements in the future. |
