| Fertilizer is an important means of agricultural production related to national food security,which affects the quality of ecological environment and the issues of agriculture,rural areas and farmers.Reasonable use of fertilizer can effectively promote farmers to increase production and income,ensure national food security,and achieve sustainable development of agriculture.However,improper application cause waste of resources and environmental pollution.Improving the fertilizer use efficiency has become an inevitable choice to ensure food security and promote high-quality development of agriculture.The Yellow River Basin is an important ecological barrier and agricultural production area in China with a long history of agricultural development.Ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin was officially upgraded to the national strategy in 2019.The high-quality development of agriculture in the Yellow River Basin ushered in a major opportunity.Under this background,fertilizer use efficiency in the Yellow River basin is measured scientifically.Based on the measurement results,the improvement path of fertilizer use efficiency in the Yellow River Basin is explored.This can provide a good reference value for the high quality development of agriculture in the Yellow River basin.Under the framework of data envelopment analysis,this paper first uses the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2000 to 2018,and constructs the production frontier based on the global benchmark technology.According to the measurement idea of "ideal value of chemical fertilizer application / actual value of chemical fertilizer application",the efficiency analysis includes food yield and agricultural non-point source pollution,and uses the input-oriented unexpected SBM model to measure the Yellow River Basin Fertilizer utilization efficiency.Then,using GIS visualization method,traditional kernel density estimation and random kernel density estimation,the spatial pattern of fertilizer use efficiency in the Yellow River Basin is comprehensively described from the national perspective,Regional Comparison Perspective and internal perspective of the basin.Finally,this paper uses the econometric method to study the influencing factors of fertilizer use efficiency in the Yellow River Basin by building a panel data econometric model.The results show that,firstly,fertilizer use efficiency in the inner provinces of the Yellow River Basin has been improved,but the characteristics of different provinces are quite different.Secondly,most provinces in the Yellow River Basin are in the forefront of the country in terms of fertilizer use efficiency,and the spatial distribution balance has been enhanced.The change of fertilizer use efficiency in the Yellow River Basin is similar to that in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Delta.Compared with the Yangtze River economic belt and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,the improvement of fertilizer use efficiency in the Yellow River Basin is more obvious.The future spatial distribution of fertilizer use efficiency of provinces in the Yellow River Basin is greatly affected by spatial interaction.Third,the level of economic development and agricultural machinery density have a significant positive effect on the improvement of fertilizer use efficiency in the Yellow River Basin,while the level of industrialization,agricultural scale,financial support for agriculture and cultural level have a significant negative effect.Combined with the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward the path to improve fertilizer use efficiency in the Yellow River Basin from two aspects of achieving comprehensive coordination and overall improvement.This is conducive to promoting the green transformation of agriculture in the Yellow River basin.At the same time,promote the Yellow River basin to become a banner of China’s agricultural production.The Yellow River Basin can lead the overall direction of improving Chinese fertilizer use efficiency and provide strong support for the green and high-quality development of Chinese agriculture. |
