Effect Of Dietary Supplementation Of Arachidonate Acid (ARA) Oil And Vitamin E On Production Performance,Egg Quality,Fatty Acid Composition And Lipid Oxidation In Laying Hens | | Posted on:2022-07-16 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Institution:University | Candidate:DIAN RIZKI PURBA | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2493306326489214 | Subject:Animal Nutrition and Feed Science | | Abstract/Summary: | | | In order to meet the nutritional needs of infants and young children for arachidonate acid(ARA),this experiment adds ARA oil to layer diets to explore its effect on layer performance,egg quality and fatty acid composition and to solve the problem of ARA egg storage,vitamin E was added to the diet of laying hens to explore its effect on the lipid oxidation of eggs.This research provides scientific guidance and technical support for the production of high-quality ARA eggs.Experiment 1.Effect of supplemental ARA oil on production performance,egg quality,and fatty acid composition in laying hensThe effect of supplementation ARA oil on production performance,egg quality,fatty acid composition in laying hens were examined in this experiment.A total of 450 Roman White laying hens with a similar egg production rate and good body condition at 55 weeks of age were randomly divided into 5 treatments.Each treatment was replicated 6 times with 15 hens per replicate.Hens were fed basal diets with 0,0.3125%,0.625%,1.25%and 2.5%ARA oil addition.The feeding trial lasted for 12 weeks after 1 week of adaption.The supplementation ARA oil was effect to decreased egg production,egg weight,daily feed intake and feed conversion ratio(FCR)(P<0.05)during 9-12 week,but on egg quality parameters showed slightly changed during the 1-12 week but not consistency and that change was not statistically significant.Arachidonate acid(ARA)was increased by supplementation ARA oil(P<0.05).This effect was positively proportional to the addition of ARA oil on diet while DHA was decreased by supplementation ARA oil(P<0.05)and to the ratio of ARA to DHA was increased(P<0.05).Experiment 2.Effect of dietary vitamin E supplementation on lipid oxidation in eggs enriched with ARAThe effect of dietary supplementation with vitamin E on lipid oxidation in eggs enriched ARA were examined in this experiment.The aims on this study to investigate the effect of supplementation vitamin E in ARA enriched diet on lipid oxidation of shelf life eggs during refrigerated storage,on the28thdays of experiment.A total of 360 Roman White laying hens with a similar egg production rate and good body condition at 55 weeks of age were randomly divided into 4 treatments.Each treatment was replicated 6 times with 15 hens per replicate.Hens were fed basal diets with 0(control),0%ARA oil+150 mg/kg Vit.E,2.5%ARA oil+0%Vit.E and 2.5%ARA oil 150 mg/kg Vit.E addition.Dietary supplementation with 150 mg/kg Vitamin E in egg enriched ARA was effective to influence the egg weight,egg yolk rate and egg yolk color(P<0.05)in stored egg(7 days and 21 days)but were not influence on Haugh unit and albumen height.On 35 days stored egg,supplementation with 150 mg/kg Vitamin E shown not influence on egg weight,egg yolk rate,egg yolk color,Haugh unit and albumen height while the storage time shown influence on egg weight,egg yolk rate,egg yolk color,Haugh unit and albumen height(P<0.05)in dietary supplementation ARA oil with vitamin E and dietary ARA without vitamin E. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | ARA, production performance, egg quality, vitamin E, lipid oxidation | | Related items |
