Tree diameter at breast height(DBH)and tree location are important tree-measuring factors for forest resource investigation and information management.Accurate and efficient data acquisition has always been the common expectation of forestry investigators.However,traditional survey tools require manual interpretation and recording of data,which have low accuracy,low efficiency,and data prone to errors;some emerging survey tools or methods are difficult to apply and promote due to many problems such as high equipment cost,poor portability,and weak practicality.In this paper,the forestry investigation business is deeply integrated with sensors,embedded and computer technologies,and an integrated collection system with DBH and tree location as the main indicators,and temperature,humidity,and slope as auxiliary indicators is developed.In addition,explored the influence of three types of calculation models of tree sectional area.The main research and work are as follows:(1)Explored methods of measuring DBH and position of trees.By comparing and analyzing the disadvantages of traditional measurement tools and methods,devices designed based on capacitive sensors and angle sensors were developed.Moreover,UWB technology was used to integrate tree position estimation as an auxiliary means,thereby realizing integrated measurement of tree diameter and position.(2)The software design of the integrated collection system for forest plot factors.In order to efficiently and conveniently process the measured DBH and tree position data,a set of host computer software integrating data transmission,storage,management,statistics and analysis has been designed and developed.(3)Experimental application of the integrated collection system for forest plot factors.Four circular sample plots(radius 12m)with diverse tree species and different slopes were selected for system performance testing,tree diameter at breast height and tree position measurement test and accuracy evaluation.The test results show that the software and hardware of the system are stable and reliable.The deviation of DBH measurement(BIAS)is 0.07cm(0.35%),and the root mean square error(RMSE)is 0.67cm(4.76%);the BIAS on the X-axis and Y-axis are 2.35~7.27 cm,-7.43~0.9cm,respectively.The corresponding root mean square error(RMSE)are 21.6~25.18 cm and21.85~26.29 cm,the average straight-line distance error(Ed)is 30.95 cm,and the standard deviation is 13.53 cm.The system has the characteristics of high efficiency and low cost,and its accuracy can meet the needs of actual work. |
