Endometritis is one of the main causes of decreased reproductive performance in dairy sows.In domestic and foreign reports,the overall incidence is 20%-40%,which seriously affects the production performance of the livestock industry.At present,there have been related researches on the disease which is caused by single infection or mixed infection of pathogenic microorganisms,among which bacteria are the most important pathogenic microorganisms.There is no authoritative uniform gold standard for sow endometritis and no critical bio-marker for diagnosis of endometritis in previous studies.In recent years,domestic studies on sow endometritis have often been judged based on clinical symptoms.The clinical symptoms of sow endometritis and vaginitis are similar and difficult to distinguish.The unclear concept makes diagnosis and prevention more difficult.Sow vaginitis is mostly caused by changes in the types of vaginal flora and imbalance of the number of bacteria,and bacteria passing through the vagina easily infect the uterus,often causing endometritis and other reproductive system diseases.Therefore,the study of vaginal flora is particularly important for the diagnosis and treatment of sow endometritis.The primary purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between sow vaginal flora and endometritis.This study conducted the following three aspects.1.Analysis of vaginal flora of endometritic and healthy sowsHigh-throughput technology analysis of the structure of the vaginal flora of sows with endometritis and health is the basis of this study.The results show that the diversity of the birth canal flora of healthy sows is at a low level,and the complexity of birth canal flora continues to increase as inflammation occurs within a certain period of time.The dominant bacteria in the birth canal of healthy sows are Lactobacillus,Enterococcus and Pseudomonas;the endogenous sows in the birth canal are Porphyromonas and Campylobacter.2.Isolation of traditional bacteria in the vagina of healthy sows suffering from endometritisBacteria in the vagina of healthy and inflammatory sows are isolated and cultured by the traditional method of bacteria separation.Hemolytic of Enterococcus faecalis and Bacillus cereus were isolated for the first time in the vagina of sows suffering from endometritis.Four strains of probiotics were screened from the vagina of healthy sows,namely Lactobacillus,Pseudomonasstrain,Pediococcus acidophilus,and Sphingomonas.3.Animal infection test,intervention test and treatment effect observationThe isolated pathogenic bacteria infect the golden hamster’s uterus through vaginal infusion proves that reverse vaginal infection can cause endometritis.Probiotic treatment could improve the uterine congestion caused by inflammation.Moreover the experiment successfully cultured sow endometrial tissue in vitro.In summary,vaginal flora can be used as a way to study endometritis.Probiotics of vaginal origin are beneficial to the recovery of sow endometritis.It provides a theoretical basis for the selective vaginal flora transplantation of sows in order to restore the balance of vaginal flora.This study provides a new way of thinking about "non-resistance breeding" in animal husbandry and solving the reproductive obstacles caused by bacterial diseases.
