Vertical Integration Of Farmer Cooperatives

China’s agriculture is facing the test of three major problems of modernization,scale and industrialization in the current development of the country.Drawing on the development examples of agriculture in the western developed countries,to achieve breakthrough development in agriculture,we must reform the organizational form of farmers.According to the actual development environment of agriculture in China,professional farmer cooperatives are an important way of organizing agricultural development.Examples of international agricultural development have shown that through the vertical integration of farmer cooperatives,agricultural intensification and scale can be achieved,thereby helping The modernization and industrialization of agriculture will ultimately drive the economic development of the region.The development of vertical integration of farmer professional cooperatives bears the heavy responsibility of agricultural industrialization and modernization,and can effectively solve the "three rural" issues.The key to the vertical integration development of farmer professional cooperatives lies in the extension of the cooperative’s industrial chain and the expansion of the organization’s scale.Compared with foreign advanced farmer professional cooperative organizations,China’s farmer cooperatives are still in a small and decentralized state.The purpose of vertical integration of farmer cooperatives is to gather scattered cooperatives to obtain industrial agglomeration effects.Qianjiang City is the leading region in China’s lobster farming industry.The vertical integration level of lobster farming industry is an important reflection of the overall vertical integration level of lobster farming industry in China.By studying the vertical integration level of lobster farmer farmer cooperatives in Qianjiang City,it can provide important guiding significance for the development of vertical integration of farmer cooperatives in other regions.The research contents of this paper are as follows.The first part of this article describes the background and significance of the development of vertical integration of farmer professional cooperatives in China.It then sorts out relevant research literature at home and abroad,and finally analyzes the current research on vertical integration of farmer cooperatives.The theoretical basis includes the theory of industrial clusters and the theory of transaction costs.The second part introduces the concepts of farmer cooperatives,and elaborates the concepts of agricultural industrialization,vertical integration,and farmer cooperatives.Next,this paper analyzes the types of vertical integration of farmer cooperatives,including front-to-back integration,internal-to-production integration,and post-to-front integration.The pre-natal link mainly includes seedling procurement,drug procurement,and infrastructure construction;the mid-product link includes technical guidance,on-site training,and site management;the post-natal link includes storage,processing,sales,and transportation.In the third part,this article measures the level of vertical integration of farmer cooperatives.It first explains the methods and principles of vertical integration level measurement,and then builds a vertical integration measurement system.A vertical integration measurement index system for farmers’ professional cooperatives was constructed.Finally,an evaluation model was constructed for the vertical integration level measurement.In the fourth part,this article conducts an empirical analysis of Qianjiang Lobster Farmers’ Cooperatives.Based on the status quo and problems,it draws relevant conclusions through empirical investigation and research,and puts forward corresponding policy recommendations based on the results of empirical analysis.In the fierce domestic and international market competition,the vertical integration of agricultural cooperatives in our country needs to be steadfastly pushed forward.By realizing agricultural modernization,scale,and industrialization,we can not only achieve agricultural development,but also It has laid the foundation for the construction of a strong country in China.
