The Ornamental Characteristics Of Different Rootstock-Scion Red-Fleshed Appletrees

The ornamental characteristics of the rootstocks of red-fleshed apples were studied,and the rootstocks with beautiful tree shape,high ornamental value of flowers,leaves and fruits were further screened.The study was based on B9 dwarf anvil,cold-resistant M9 dwarf anvil and begonia(D)grafted red-fleshed 119,red-fleshed 107,red-fleshed 117,red-fleshed 101 and red-fleshed 106 short branches.According to the different rootstocks used,they were divided into three groups,group 1 was 119/ B9,107/B9,117/B9,group 2 was 101/ D,106/D,119/D,group 3 was 119/ M9,101/M9.The seedlings of each group were all 5-year-old healthy plants.The main contents of this paper are the ornamental characteristics offlower,leaf and fruit of different rootstock-scionappletrees.Among them,the research of tree include: plant and trunk height,crown width,ground diameter and affinity of grafting;The flower-research include: flowering period,corolla color,corolla diameter and other indicators;leaf research include: leaf length,width,leaf area and leaf shape and other related traits;fruit research include: color,texture,peel smoothness,fruit weight and fruit stalk length.Finally,Excel and SPSS were used to analyze the relevant data.Based on the analysis of the ornamental indexes of red-fleshedappletrees with each rootstock-scion,it is concluded that:(1)There are three different tree posturein 8 different rootstock-scion combinations,which are open,upright and pendulous separately.That the 119/B9,106/D tree body posture is open and upright,the coordination with the surrounding landscape is better,and the ornamental value is higher.(2)The color of 106/ D in group 2 was the most unique;the ornamental value of 119/ B9 in group 1 and 119/ M9 in group 3 were moreornamental.(3)The color of leaves in different rootstock-scion combination was not significant,but the difference of leaf area was significant.(4)The fruit of 106/ D in group 2 had the late ripening stage and the longest hanging time,and the fruit of 107/ B9,101/M9 with anvil panicle had better ornamental effect.Overall,the rootstock-scionappletreeswith higher ornamental value were 119/ B9,106/D and 101/ M9.
