The effect of charcoal on soil depends on the physical and chemical properties of soil and the properties of charcoal itself.The dynamic changes of soil organic carbon pools under different particle sizes of charcoal(BC21,BC15,BC5),organic fertilizer(OF)and carboxymethyl cellulose sodium(CMC)were studied in this paper.The dynamic effects of different particle sizes of charcoal on soil organic carbon pools under different organic materials were analyzed.(1)Soil TOC was significantly increased with the addition of charcoal and OF,and TOC(charcoal+OF+CMC)>TOC(charcoal+OF)>Toc(charcoal+CMC)>TOC(charcoal+CMC)>TOC(charcoal)>CK.(2)At the early stage of cultivation,charcoal input significantly increased MBC content in soil.For the same size of charcoal,the addition of CMC to charcoal significantly increased soil MBC,and the input of OF had no significant effect on soil MBC,the effect of charcoal particle size on soil MBC was related to the addition of organic materials.BC21 and BC5 significantly increased soil MBC at the early stage of culture,while charcoal particle size had no effect on soil MBC at the late stage.BC15 had significant difference to soil MBC with OF and CMC,and BC21 had significant difference to soil MBC when adding OF+CMC.At the later stage of cultivation,charcoal particle size had no significant effect on soil MBC.The effect of charcoal on ROC was small,but the ROC(charcoal+OF+CMC)and ROC(charcoal+OF+CMC)were higher than that of ROC(charcoal+CMC)and ROC(charcoal+OF)under the conditions of OF,CMC and OF+CMC,moreover,the effect of charcoal+OF+CMC was more significant,and the diameter of charcoal had an effect on ROC in the early stage of cultivation.The effect of particle size of charcoal on ROC of soil was not significant.Under the condition of OF,CMC,OF+CMC,charcoal increased soil WOC significantly,that is,WOC(charcoal+OF+CMC)was larger than WOC(charcoal+CMC)and WOC(charcoal+OF)was larger than WOC,the effect of charcoal particle size on soil WOC was higher than that of WOCBC21 and WOCBC15,but the effect of organic material on soil MBC was influenced by charcoal particle size.The effect of organic materials on charcoal particle size in soil CMI was not regular.The particle size of charcoal had no significant effect on soil CMI.(3)The addition of OF and CMC with charcoal could increase soil HE,and the addition OF charcoal+OF+CMC was more significant.The particle size of charcoal had no significant effect on soil HE,HA and FA.(4)The absorption rate of CO2 in soil at the early stage of culture was significantly higher than that at the late stage.Under the condition of OF,CMC,OF+CMC,charcoal of the same size significantly increased soil CO2cumulative emission,that is,the cumulative CO2 emissions(charcoal+OF+CMC)are greater than the cumulative CO2 emissions(charcoal+CMC)and the cumulative CO2 emissions(charcoal+OF)are greater than the cumulative CO2emissions(charcoal+CMC).Charcoal can increase the cumulative CO2 emissions of soil under the conditions of adding OF and CMC,the addition effect of charcoal+OF+CMC was more significant,and different particle size of charcoal without OF,the effect of charcoal particle size on soil CO2 emission was found to be greater than 1-2 mm and 0.5-1mm of charcoal added with<0.5 mm.
