With the development of the manufacturing industry in the direction of intelligence,secondary vocational and technical education cannot continue to follow the old teaching mode,and teaching and curriculum reform is imperative.In mechanical manufacturing,the dimension chain plays a vital role in the assembly and tolerance control of components.However,due to the complex concept and calculation,and strong practicality of the dimension chain knowledge point,it is difficult for students majoring in machinery to understand and effectively use this knowledge point.Based on the analysis of the current situation of dimension chain teaching,this paper aims at various problems existing in the traditional teaching process of dimension chain for mechanical majors in secondary vocational colleges.Under the guidance of relevant theories such as constructivist learning,by introducing CETOL 6sigma threedimensional tolerance analysis software and going deep into secondary vocational colleges to carry out dimension chain teaching practice,compare the similarities and differences between new and old dimension chain teaching modes.Comparing the actual effect of the old and new teaching mode of dimension chain for students to master this knowledge point,and make a useful exploration for the new teaching mode of size chain.The main research work of this paper is as follows:The paper firstly analyzed the influence factors of the teaching status of all levels of the mechanical major in secondary vocational schools on the teaching of the dimension chain,and analyzes the teaching situation of the secondary vocational school and the teaching practice.And then analyzed the problems in the traditional teaching of dimension chain,such as lack of students’ interest,rigid teaching mode and separation from production practice.Secondly,based on the current problems in the teaching of size chains in secondary vocational schools,the paper puts forward the feasibility of applying CETOL 6sigma to the teaching of size chains,and carries out the teaching process design and course teaching practice.Finally,through a questionnaire survey,the teaching practice effect analysis of the new and old dimension chains is analyzed and the corresponding countermeasures for the teaching reform of the dimension chain are given.The research results show that the introduction of a new three-dimensional tolerance analysis software can effectively improve the visualization of the actual dimension chain teaching process,and effectively avoid the complex calculation process in the dimension chain.And increase students’ interest in learning this knowledge point,promote the improvement of the teaching quality of the dimension chain,and also promote the control of the actual processing process of the dimension chain to be more in line with the manufacturing process.
