| As the link between urban and rural areas,suburban villages are the key areas in the process of urbanization and rural construction in China.Nowadays,the phenomenon of "hollowing out" of the countryside and the problem of elderly care are becoming more and more prominent,which is also a real problem that needs special attention in the construction of suburban villages.In view of the increasing aging of the countryside,the issue of elderly care is often neglected in the renovation and construction of existing suburban villages,and most of them adopt the model of relocating the whole village for home care or building new collective nursing homes to solve the problem of elderly care in the village.This model is undoubtedly a forced fragmentation of the original living condition and living environment of the elderly in suburban villages,which brings a series of problems to the physical and mental health of the elderly and eventually leads to the negative aging of the elderly.Therefore,we advocate the construction of local transformation and local resettlement in the construction of suburban villages,and introduce the mutual help elderly model into the construction and transformation of suburban villages to provide new ideas to properly solve the elderly problem in suburban villages,and even provide a diversion for urban elderly pressure.Based on literature,theoretical data and relevant case studies,field research on the needs of the main audience,and corresponding design strategies,this paper aims to investigate the transformation of some of the original unused buildings into mutual care spaces in the renewal and renovation of suburban villages.The concept design study of renewing and transforming some of the buildings in the village into a space for mutual aid elderly care is carried out to explore the transformation mode of mutual aid elderly care space in the process of suburban village construction. |
