Traditional architectural design model prevails,the uncertainty of BIM implementation risk,the application of BIM technology touches the overall interests of the construction industry and other reasons lead to the use of BIM in the design stage in China in the transitional mode of BIM reverse design.The professions are repeatedly optimized on the basic model to reach the required model depth.In the actual operation process,it is found that BIM reverse design does not fully realize informationization and collaborative operation in the design stage,the project organization and management mode has not changed significantly,and the design mode and efficiency effect are not really optimized.Based on this,this paper takes the design stage BIM reverse design as the research object,analyzes its formation mechanism and puts forward effective governance countermeasures to provide guidance and methodological support for the efficient implementation of BIM technology in China’s construction engineering design stage.Firstly,based on literature analysis and semi-structured expert interviews,this paper sorts out BIM application patterns in the design phase,on this basis,defines the connotation of BIM reverse design and explores the value and limitations of BIM reverse design development;secondly,combined with literature,19 independent and non-subordinate BIM reverse design formation factors are initially identified.The Delphi method was used to synthesize the opinions of the members of the BIM expert group of the design unit,and the formation factors were analyzed and modified in several rounds,and a total of 18 BIM reverse design formation factors were finally screened out,including the external environment level,the internal level of technology and the organizational management level.Again,the BIM reverse design formation factors integrated influence relationship questionnaire is designed,and the BIM experts of design units are re-invited to rate the complex inter-influence relationship between the formation factors of BIM reverse design in terms of level.With the help of Matlab software,the DEMATEL-ISM method is used to analyze the comprehensive influence degree and binary hierarchical relationship of the formation factors of BIM reverse design.eventually identified the high cost of BIM application,the lack of intellectual property laws related to BIM models,the fixed mindset and rejection mentality of personnel,the lack of effective cooperation between participants in the project team,the difficulty of sharing and integrating information across phases of BIM,and the poor interoperability between professional software as the key formative factors of BIM reverse design.Combining the interrelationship between the formation factors,the 18 formation factors are divided into layers,and a multi-layer recursive structure model of BIM reverse design formation factors is established to clarify the transmission paths between the formation factors;finally,the key formation factors of BIM reverse design and the transmission paths of formation factors identified in the DEMATELISM method are assembled to propose effective governance countermeasures for BIM reverse design from various aspects of government,industry and enterprises.The research results are expected to make up for the lack of theories related to BIM reverse design in the design phase of China’s construction field,enrich the theoretical system of BIM technology,and provide effective guidance and methodological support for the efficient implementation of BIM technology in China.The research findings are consistent with the government’s policy direction of actively promoting the application of BIM technology in China’s construction industry,which will help to advance the development of BIM technology in the design phase and further promote the application of BIM technology in China’s construction industry.
