With the vigorous development and great progress of China’s civil aviation industry,the airport runway and the airspace in the terminal area have been running for a long time,which can easily cause practical problems such as air traffic congestion and increased safety risks.As a very important subsystem in the civil aviation management system,the airspace in the terminal area is gathered here,and the air traffic complexity is high,so the optimization of the airspace resources in the terminal area can greatly improve the congestion of air traffic flow and reduce flight delays.As the basic unit of the airspace in the terminal area,the rationality of its allocation determines the workload of each control seat,affects the orderliness and efficiency of air traffic flow,and is of great significance to improving the level of operational safety and the utilization rate of airspace resources.On the basis of the current stage of domestic and foreign scholars’ research on the airspace of the terminal area,this paper first introduces the concepts of the scope of the terminal area,the structure of the airspace and the capacity of the airspace,introduces the commonly used traffic management methods and air traffic flow characteristics;then analyzes the complexity of the airspace sector of the terminal area,gives the calculation formula of the complexity of the sector structure and the complexity of the operation,and proposes the model of the complexity of the airspace;then,the classical concept and statistical feature quantity based on graph theory and complex network,mainly including the connectivity,shortest circuit and maximum flow of the graph.Four typical network models: rule network,stochastic network,small world network and scaleless network,introduced the concepts of degree,intensity,interelectric value and their distribution,average road length and aggregation coefficient,and built a cyberspace model of the control sector in mainland China,and finally,taking the Kunming approach control area as an example,the airport clearance and airport operation status were analyzed,and the single-day characteristics and cycle characteristics of the inbound and outbound traffic flow were analyzed.According to the principle of sector zoning,the Voronoi diagram is used to divide the current control sector range,and combined with the objectives of reducing the complexity of the sector airspace and improving the operation efficiency of the inbound and outbound traffic flow,the airspace sector of the terminal area is rezoned,and the results show that adding a sector can improve the air traffic flow situation in this airspace and balance the workload of the control seats of each sector;and the vulnerability and toughness of the optimized sector network are evaluated.Its vulnerability decreases with the number of nodes in the network,and the toughness curve presents an inverted "U" shape;The comparison before and after the optimization scheme was carried out from the three aspects of flight conflict,control workload and airspace capacity to verify its optimization effect,and the results showed that after the optimization of the sector,the flight conflict was reduced,the control load volume decreased and the airspace capacity increased.
