Recently, with the popularization of green travel and the support of public facilities, nonmotor traffic mode has gradually returned to the public view.However,cyclist-unfriendly environment is a common phenomenon which seriously restricted the development of non-motor traffic mode.Based on non-motor vehicle features,an evaluation system consisting of accessibility, safety and comfort is constructed to assess the level of service of non-motor vehicle lanes, and then some measures are also put forward to improve the level of service.Firstly, the traffic load degree is selected to evaluate accessibility.K-S test and MannWhitney U test are adopted to analyze speed distribution characteristics and speed differences, respectively. The road capacity is calculated by fitting flow-density model of sections with different isolation types. It is found that isolation type of motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles has a greater impact on road capacity than the isolation type of non-motor vehicles and human.According to capacity results, the traffic load degree is calculated and graded for accessibility.Secondly, the passing rate is selected to evaluate road safety.Based on the characteristics of passing event number,Poisson distribution model for passing number is established. The elastic method is used for quantitatively analyzing influence degree of factors. The result shows that width, traffic flow,e-bike proportion and speed standard deviation have significant effects on passing number. The safety evaluation grade is determined by the cumulative frequency distribution diagram of passing rate.Thirdly, ordered Logistic regression and ordered Probit regression are adopted to predict the perceived comfort of cyclists. The optimal prediction model was selected by AIC and BIC.A further analysis of marginal effect is conducted to study the influence of variables. The comfort value of all cyclists is calculated by probability addition. Finally, the hierarchy-entropy analysis method is used to determine the comprehensive weight of indexes and select six roads for case study.Suggestions for improving service level are given from road characteristics, roadside environment and traffic flow conditions. This study supplements the level of service evaluation method for non-motorized lanes, enriches the research theory of non-motorized lanes, provides theoretical support for the nonmotorized lane construction. At the same time, the results of research can be used to guide the optimization design and delicacy management of non-motorized lanes and provide reference for the improvement of the service level of non-motorized lanes.
