The public traffic is not only the key component of the public traffic, but one of the most convenient traveling tools for urban residents. Therefore, the service level has a great impact on the convenience and comfortability of the trip to some extent. As a result, it affects residents'living situation. Therefore, it is of great importance to analyze and evaluate the service level of the bus traffic both reasonably and effectively. Present studies and applications of the service level of the pubic traffic, however, most focus on the construction for the index system and the utilization of diversified evaluation methods. As a result, it leads shortage of systematic analysis on the present service level of the pubic traffic. The index system is always on the abstract level. The methods are relatively simple. The results need mending, and the analysis needs the advanced network to support. The goal of this paper is to work out more effective methods to address these problems. After a systematical analysis on the bus traffic service, objective affecting factors are summarized, with the structure level of the bus network and the passenger transport level of the bus line included. At the same time, the correlativity between the bus passengers'satisfaction and the level of the bus service is built as well. On the basis of the Customers Satisfaction theory in management science, according to the positive correlativity between the satisfaction and the level, and the analysis on the characteristics for the bus service, questionnaires concerning with bus passengers'satisfaction, the disposing methods of the survey results and the CSI models are designed respectively. Through the investigation and the analysis, we can get the passengers'satisfaction level on different bus service items and the results of relative weight of every item. These conclusions cover the whole city's bus service level, and provide the key to improve. To analyze the level of the present bus service, we not only reach the conclusion from analysis on CSI data but make the objective analysis and evaluation about the factors which affect the whole bus network's performance. This paper first discusses the evaluation index to bus performance, then brings about a simply evaluating index to accessibility for transit network based on TransCAD with the evaluating index system for the bus network improved. Furthermore, this paper improves the method to calculate the index of the structure and the passenger transport, by using TransCAD's transit passengers forecasting tools and the geographic tools. In the end, this paper puts these analysis and evaluation methods into use within the Changchun city. Regarding the study of the bus customer satisfaction of Changchun city, this paper carries though the selection of the sample, the sampling of the transit line and passengers, and the calculation of the CSI. After the computation and analysis about the degree of the satisfaction, we figure out the index of the bus and the mid-bus service lies on the level of 0.7 and 0.61 respectively. At last, we induce the satisfaction index of the whole city --0.67, which identifies an ideal one. To analyze and evaluate of the transit network performance of the Changchun city, this paper applies the calculation of single index and the evaluation of the integrated index system. Based on the TransCAD software, this paper gives the level of the transit network layout. By the calculation of these indexes, the analysis of the metewand and a number of evaluation methods, we can reach the conclusion that the city boasts of a reasonable transit net density, bus station coverage and an overall distribution situation. Meanwhile, the transit line possesses high efficiency and economics. The transit network offers great accessibility to this city. However, the transit network operates with relatively high re-overlapping rate, poor accessibility, crowded passengers and low equilibrium capability. This paper has validated the feasibility and the rationality of those methods with the coherence results. During the study, on the basis of the systematic analysis, management, combination of the demand and the supply, this paper utilizes the combining methods of the qualitative analysis and the quantitative calculation.
