Research On Conservation And Renewal Strategy Of Historical Gardens Based On Ageability

As the first country in the world with an elderly population of more than 200 million,our country will be at a stage of high ageing for a long time to come.The large number of elderly people will cause great pressure and challenge to China’s urban development.Because of its long cultural history and elegant environment,the historical garden is favored by the elderly group,carrying the memory of many old people,is one of the main spaces for outdoor activities in the elderly.However,due to the garden style and construction background,many historical garden space can not meet the needs of the elderly population.Therefore,the historical garden urgently needs to carry out the appropriate aging update under the premise of the original protection,so that the historical garden can respond to the social needs and continue to exude vitality.From the perspective of moderate aging,through literature reading to obtain relevant design concepts and technical methods,and select five representative Chengdu historical gardens as research objects,carry out research,the characteristics of the activities of the elderly in historical gardens,material space appropriate aging status quo analysis,summarized the historical garden aging update principle,summarized based on the age-appropriate historical garden protection and renewal optimization strategy.The research ideas and conclusions of this paper are as follows.The first part is the introduction,through the literature review of the excavation of appropriate aging,historical garden protection and other related concepts of the current situation and results,the necessity of this paper,and put forward their own research methods,as well as the expected results of the thesis.The second part is to study the physiological characteristics of the elderly and their relationship with historical gardens,analyze the physiological,psychological needs,environmental needs and behavioral activities of the elderly in the historical gardens,and summarize the significance of historical gardens to the daily activities of the elderly.The third part is for the regional characteristics of Chengdu historical gardens,select sample gardens,the use of behavior map observation and analysis and research questionnaire combined methods,the study of garden space to conduct a comprehensive survey visit,so as to obtain Chengdu historical gardens overall aging status quo and the satisfaction evaluation of the elderly.The fourth part is for the research data,from the historical garden elderly activity characteristics,garden scale and functional layout,activity space,garden composition elements,supporting facilities four aspects of graphic analysis,and from which to organize the common problems of five historical gardens and memorial gardens,temple garden personality problems.The fifth part summarizes the principles and strategies of Chengdu historical garden protection and renewal based on the aging nature according to the classification of the main points of the problem summarized above.The sixth part of the design case discussion.Taking Wenshu Temple as an example,by applying the aging optimization strategy summarized above,we further test the feasibility of the strategy and deepen the discussion on the protection and renewal of the age-appropriate nature of historical gardens.
