Research On The Functional Organization Design Of The Winter Olympic Alpine Centre

With the approach of the 24 th Winter Olympic Games,China takes this as an opportunity to promote winter sports in policies,and the people’s enthusiasm for it is thriving.Alpine skiing has been known as the "jewel in the crown of the Winter Olympics",bringing this snow sport to people’s attention.The function and streamline organization of alpine ski centres is an important part in the design of alpine skiing venues.Therefore,it is taken as the main research object in this paper.First of all,alpine skiing events and alpine ski centres are briefly introduced and factors to consider when selecting the site of a new venue are discussed.Besides,alpine ski centres are divided into several groups and areas according to their location in the mountain and the requirements of security respectively.Then,the main users of alpine ski centres and the transport systems of the external streamline are identified.At the same time,the transport systems and parking areas facing different groups are sorted out.On the basis of the above research,a prototype of external streamline is proposed,which is analyzed and demonstrated by alpine ski centres in past winter Olympic Games.Alpine ski centres can be divided into competition area,spectator area and service area in the aspect of functional organization and each of them can be subdivided into different functional areas,which are elaborated later by explaining functional rooms.Based on the above research,the overall functional organization prototype is schemed.In terms of streamline,the streamline of each user in the venue is analyzed specifically.However,the intersection of streamlines is difficult to avoid,and the problem can be solved by design strategies in space or time.At the end of the paper,National Alpine Ski Center is introduced shortly,and the project practice is interpreted from the aspects of site selection,function and streamline organization,which confirms the validity of the above research contents.Due to few researches on alpine ski centres in China,the content of this research is more or less insufficient.It is hoped that the content will be of benefit to the development of alpine skiing venues in China.
