Research On The Reuse Of Storage Industrial Heritage In The Central City Of Chengdu

Industrial heritage,as a product of modern urban renewal and a material and intangible representative of the industrial age,once played an important role in the industrial era.It is the material carrier of urban industrial development and has important protection and reuse values.Warehousing industrial architectural heritage is closely linked to urban commerce and logistics activities.It plays a special significance in the path of industrial development and urban prosperity in old Chengdu.However,compared with other industrial heritages,its research received less attention.With the decline of freight rail transportation and the contradiction between the old warehousing and logistics space and urban development,large-scale storage industrial relics in Chengdu have been left idle and demolished.At present,urban development planning gradually changes from incremental construction to stock renewal.Based on this background,this article takes the storage industrial building heritage in the central city of Chengdu as the research object,and expands in the order of basic research,problem research,strategy research,and case verification.From the perspective of site characteristics,the main research content is as follows:The thesis first conducts the basic research on the storage industry architectural heritage,and establishes the scope of the research object and the principles of defining it from the aspects of the industry scope,constituent elements and classification of the storage industry architectural heritage.Combined with the current domestic urbanization stock renewal,the importance of its reuse in urban renewal is proposed from the perspective of heritage value.Secondly,based on the industrial development context of Chengdu,clarify the historical background and deep logic of the emergence and evolution of Chengdu’s industrial architectural heritage and warehouse industrial architectural heritage.Analyze the status quo relationship of the existing 11 typical warehouse-type industrial architectural heritage in Chengdu’s central urban area,and summarize the storage characteristics and reuse characteristics from the area space environment,architectural space structure and form,architectural style and other aspects.Thirdly,through a refined investigation and analysis of 4 existing storage-type industrial architectural heritage reuse practices in Chengdu,summarize the current reuse experience and existing problems in the current storage-type industrial architectural heritage practices in Chengdu;combine the supplements of typical cases at home and abroad The enlightenment is to propose a reuse strategy that integrates with the urban environment,the overall presentation of the external environment,and the symbiosis design of storage buildings.It aims to provide a certain reference for the reuse of the storage industry heritage of Chengdu and other cities.Finally,based on the re-use strategy of Chengdu’s warehouse-like industrial building heritage proposed in the previous article,combined with the reuse design practice of the West China logistics storage area in Chengdu,the feasibility of a series of reuse strategies is discussed.
