| In the process of China’s urbanization, serious environmental problems such as serious environmental pollution, difficult sewage treatment, and compression of green space have emerged. These "urban diseases" have gradually become obstacles restricting the further harmonious and green development of modern cities. Therefore,in order to build more efficient, green and livable modern cities, many countries around the world have also begun to actively explore innovative models of urban development, and smart cities have emerged.Smart cities are mainly based on advanced science and technology such as the Internet and cloud computing as the basis for urban construction and development, and promote the development of the entire city in a more high-quality,efficient,energy-saving and livable direction. In my country, three batches of pilot cities have been launched to implement smart city construction from 2012 to 2014.At present,my country’s research on smart city construction rarely pays attention to the urban environment. Therefore, this article helps to enrich the existing research fields and better evaluate the policy effects of smart city construction. This article first introduces the basic theoretical framework of the impact of smart city construction on the urban environment, and studies the environmental effects of smart city construction from the three mechanisms of technological progress, industrial structure and resource allocation. In the third chapter, the status quo of smart city construction is analyzed, and the quality of the urban environment is measured. Then the fourth chapter uses the Time-varying difference-in-differences model to analyze the effect of smart city construction on the improvement of urban environmental quality using city panel data from 2008 to 2016.After the empirical analysis,a rigorous analysis of robustness and heterogeneity was also done. Finally, chapter 5 summarizes the conclusions of this article based on the previous status analysis and empirical analysis and puts forward policy recommendations for smart city construction. The innovation of this paper is to collect urban environmental industrial pollution data and urban greening data to use entropy method to construct environmental quality indicators, and use a Time-varying difference-in-differences model that is different from most previous studies to conduct empirical analysis and testing to help urban construction The author directly observed the real effects of many batches of pilot policies for smart cities, combining the process of smart city construction with the direction of green development, and also providing a new direction for urban environmental pollution control,in my country’s “green water and green mountains” urban environment construction Provide reference and basis. |
