Under extreme operating conditions like high temperature and high pressure,sealing gaskets generally use metal materials.Metal gaskets have the advantages of high strength,strong heat resistance,and good compression-resilience performance,and are widely used in engines.Among them,the exhaust pipe flanges mainly use corrugated metal gaskets.The sealing performance of the gasket greatly affects the performance and life of the engine.In-depth study of the high temperature sealing performance of the corrugated metal gasket has important guiding significance in the engineering field.This paper mainly analyzed the sealing performance of corrugated metal gasket,and studied its compression-resilience performance and high temperature durability performance.The specific contents were as follows:(1)It considered the corrugated metal gasket as a semi-cylindrical shell,and used the relevant theories of semi-cylindrical shell for analysis.The finite difference method and the Newmark method were adopted to analyze the semi-cylindrical shell which subjected to different loads.What’s more,it also discussed the influence of geometrical dimensions,material and temperature on the compression-resilience performance of the corrugated metal gasket.As a result,the compression-resilience performance of corrugated metal gaskets under cyclic loading was obtained.(2)On the basis of finite element software,a simulation analysis of the compression-resilience process of corrugated metal gaskets was carr ied out,and the effects of different parameters on its compression rate and rebound rate were obtained.(3)The compression-resilience test of the corrugated metal gasket was carried out,and the influence of different parameters on its compression-resilience performance was discussed,and compared with the theoretical analysis and simulation results,the mechanical model of compression-resilience of corrugated metal gasket was verified.(4)The high temperature lasting strength test of corrugated metal ga skets was carried out,the lasting plasticity and strength indexes were obtained,and the change law of the compensation ability of corrugated metal gaskets over time was obtained.This dissertation studies the high temperature sealing performance of corrugated metal gaskets through the combination of theory,simulation and experiment.This enriches and develops the related theories of metal gaskets,provides guidance for practical use,which can provide certain guidance for follow-up research personnel.
