| The Chuxiong autonomous prefecture is located in the southwest of China,in the central part of Yunnan Province.This region has the largest amount of Chinese people who are part of the Yi minority and also includes some diverse and rich-style of Yi Nationality folk houses.This thesis mainly focuses on the traditional folk houses of the Yi Nationality that still exist today,while also comparing and analyzing the traditional residences of the Yi Nationality in different areas of Chuxiong and under the influence of Yi culture: traditional folk houses of Yi Nationality.From the perspectives of physical geography,Yi traditional culture,customs and beliefs,production and living habits,economic and other perspectives to explore the characteristics of the Chuxiong Yi Nationality traditional residence and cultural core,to find its architectural concepts,architectural customs and other elements,and focuses on the analysis of the Yi Nationality dwellings of adaptation and growth under the influence of natural,cultural,social,and economic factors.On the basis of analysis of multiple influencing factors,it is essential to follow the basic principles and maintain the fundamental elements that need to be preserved in the process of reconstruction and new construction of folk house.In order to better integrate the construction of traditional residences of the Yi Nationality with the modern architectural design,and traditional residences can be effectively inherited and appropriately updated in the natural environment and cultural environment. |
