Study On Urban Waterfront Landscape Design From The Perspective Of Ecological Urbanism

Waterfront environment has always been closely related to human activities.In the past decades,the reconstruction and development of urban waterfront has become the key of urban reconstruction projects in the world.The success of urban waterfront reconstruction at home and abroad has brought opportunities for the reconstruction and development of many similar port cities in China.In this process,people gradually realize the deficiencies of urban waterfront landscape design,such as the lack of connection between waterfront landscape and city,low accessibility,lack of regional characteristics,low hydrophilicity,and so on.People begin to seek new and sustainable strategies to solve many problems faced by urban waterfront.Eco urbanism,as a planning and design concept that studies the relationship among landscape,city and people,takes the whole urban environment as the practical object,provides a theoretical basis for urban construction,and its design thinking and main ideas also provide new ideas for solving the current problems of urban waterfront landscape.This paper mainly studies the urban waterfront landscape design from the perspective of eco urbanism.First of all,this paper expounds the importance and urgency of urban waterfront landscape design from the revival of urban waterfront at home and abroad and the current situation of domestic urban waterfront landscape construction,and puts forward the feasibility based on the theory of ecological urbanism.Secondly,this paper expounds the important contents of urban waterfront landscape and eco urbanism.Starting from the shortcomings of domestic urban waterfront landscape,this paper interprets the domestic and foreign urban waterfront landscape design cases from the perspective of eco urbanism theory,and summarizes the methods,principles,strategies,etc.suitable for urban waterfront landscape design,Finally,a case study of the waterfront landscape in the North Bank of Suzhou from Shanghai North South viaduct road to Zhejiang North Road is introduced to analyze the current situation and existing problems,and put forward suggestions for landscape design.Through the actual case,it provides some reference for the urban waterfront landscape design from the perspective of eco urbanism.
