The Rural-wilderness Theory And Its Identification Research

In the period of the 14^th Five-Year Plan,people-oriented new-type urbanization and the spatial planning of national land are our country’s important strategies and research hotspots in academia.The relationship between"people"and"nature"has triggered a new round of discussions.Based on the theory of Wilderness,the system of national protected areas and the boundaries of urban development areas,this paper finds that the current academic research is lacking in the semi-natural land between the built-up area and the wilderness land.This article puts forward“Rural-Wilderness”theory from the perspective of landscape architecture disciplines,defines and recognizes"The Rural-Wilderness land"from the perspective of territorial space,and explores its territorial spatial attributes,classification system and value.This thesis is composed of four parts.The first part explains and differentiates a series of concepts such as“Wilderness”,“Wilderness land”,“The Original wilderness land”and“Nature reserve”,analyzes the current research status of this study at home and abroad,defines the concept and category of“Rural-Wilderness”,and clarifies its spatial scope and classification system.The second part constructs the identification and evaluation model of the rural-wilderness land based on the theory of“Wilderness”and urban centralized construction area.It considers the positioning of the rural-wilderness land under the territorial spatial planning system from four aspects:function positioning,demarcation type,hierarchical positioning and value positioning.The third part proposes four major functions of the rural-wilderness land--agricultural production,ecological recreation,rural landscape and transportation,which are closely related to humans;constructs an evaluation method of landscape ecological pattern;puts forward four major cultural trace attributes of the rural-wilderness--natural land,semi-natural land,human scenery land and resource extraction land;five characteristics--semi-natural characteristics,survival food supply characteristics,human spiritual homeland characteristics,the transitional nature of the city and the wilderness land characteristics and“Humans are allowed to be wildly disturbed”characteristics,and three values--economy value,ecological services value and cultural inheritance value.The last part extracts the rural-wilderness land through the rural-wilderness land identification practice in Wuhan,and rates and analyzes three classification systems of agricultural and ecological function space,land use landscape ecological pattern and natural attributes.The practical results fully support attributes,functions,five characteristics and three values of the rural-wilderness land,which described in the theoretical chapter.This thesis embeds the"rural-wilderness land"in the wilderness and the concentrated construction area,and fully verifies the transitional role of the rural-wilderness between"urban""village"and"wilderness"through identification practice.What’s more,constructs a complete spatial structure of"urban&town with rural wilderness with wilderness",and the discussion on the relationship between rural-wilderness and humans further reveals the important position of the countryside under the spatial planning system.
