With the development of society,the urban heat island effect and other problems are increasingly prominent.While alleviating the urban heat island effect,the colored asphalt pavement still has problems such as insufficient color durability and poor road performance.Polyacrylate with the excellent weather resistance and light resistance is increasingly used in coatings,adhesives,etc.Moreover,the use of silicone to modify adhesives,coatings,rubber,etc.,can improve its wear resistance and UV aging-resistance,while maintaining its own excellent performance.Therefore,in view of the special working properties of colored pavement,the organic silicon modified polypropionate(SMP)was used to modify the clear asphalt,aiming to develop a color durable colored asphalt pavement.This study focuses on the design of the SMP modified clear asphalt and its properties evaluation by conducting a series of tests.Meanwhile,the properties of the SMP modified clear asphalt were compared and analyzed with the SBS modified asphalt binder and base asphalt binder,such as the hightemperature viscoelastic properties,low-temperature creep properties,and modification mechanism.Furthermore,the conventional road performance,color durability and anti-skid performance of Color Stone Mastic Asphalt(CSMA)and Color Open Graded Friction Course(COGFC)were characterized by the rutting test,bending trabecular test,water immersion Marshall test,freeze-thaw splitting test,accelerated loading test.Theresults showed that the SMP modifier improves the high-temperature stability and creep recovery performance of clear asphalt.The shear-resistance of clear asphalt is stronger under the higher content of modifier.When the SMP content exceeded 3%,the mixing temperature of clear asphalt was about 200℃.What’s more,the SMP had a negative impact on the low temperature properties of clear asphalt.Compared with SBS modified asphalt,the lowtemperature performance of clear asphalt was poorer.Combined with the high and low temperature performance of SMP modified clear asphalt,and the mixing temperature,the clear asphalt mixture content of SMP was recommended to be 3.0 %.The color asphalt mixtures with two gradations of CSMA and COGFC are both can meet the road performance requirements.The accelerated loading test research found that the SMP effectively enhanced the abrasion resistance of the CSMA and COGFC,making the pavement present a more "real" color.Through the correlation between the three-dimensional parameters of the color pavement and the friction coefficient,the correlation between the parameters is analyzed,and multiple factors are selected to construct the friction coefficient,and it is found that it has good correlation and reliability.
