| With the advent of the information age,the educational model of universities is changing from a traditional teacher-centered education model to a student-centered autonomous learning model,which puts forward more personalized and diversified demands for the learning space of universities.These demands have promoted the emergence of university learning centers,the main mode of library transformation,and it is becoming more and more common.The study on the theory of learning centers in colleges began in the late 19 th century in foreign countries,which has been mature in practice.Nevertheless,in china,the study only began in the late 20 th century.The construction and research of learning centers is still in the early stage.From a multi-disciplinary perspective,this thesis clarifies the understanding of the concept and characteristic of learning center,summarizes the problems of the functional and space design of the learning center in domestic universities,and proposes corresponding optimization design strategies in terms of function and space,in order to improve related theories and provide guidance for practice.The thesis is mainly divided into three parts:In Chapter 1,based on the actual needs of the development of learning centers in universities at home and abroad,the research question of this thesis is put forward: In the information age,how to optimize the design of university learning center in China to adapt to the change of higher education mode and learning methods? Then,through sort out the basic concepts of the learning center by domestic and foreign scholars,clarify the research scope of the article,summarize relevant domestic and foreign theoretical research,and propose the research method and framework of the thesis.The second and third chapters analyze the problems and clarify the development process from traditional libraries to learning centers by integrating the construction and development of learning centers in different historical backgrounds at home and abroad.Then,summed up the features of the function and space of the university learning center from the theoretical and practical research at home and abroad.In Chapter 3,based on the study of nearly 27 cases of learning centers in domestic universities,the author mainly studies the cases with a high degree of transition to learning centers for key research,summarizes the main problems existing in the function and space of the domestic college learning center.The fourth and fifth chapters solve problems,combined with domestic and foreign case comparison analysis and engineering practice,and put forward specific optimization strategies for the functional and space design of the university learning center.Among them,the functional design proposes two main strategies of diversified service function positioning and compound learning function organization,clarifies the composition of service functions,proposes suggestions on the ratio of student average index and functional area,and the principle of learning function organization.In terms of space design,in view of the practical problems of domestic campus space,it proposes optimization suggestions for learners’ easy-to-reach site selection,flat and interactive learning space layout,flexible customized learning space design,and humanized design with rich experience. |
