With the rapid development of the aviation industry, the precision requirements of air transportation safety and security have also increased, and the air traffic control center assumes the important function of air traffic control, which is a crucial infrastructure link for aviation safety and development. However, due to the professional nature of the process design of air traffic control centers, the current research on such buildings mainly focuses on the technical coordination of process equipment and the self-quality improvement of air traffic controllers’ resistance to stress, but has not yet paid attention to the design synergy significance of the building as a carrier space for users’ behavior. This paper intends to take the behavioral characteristics of air traffic controllers as the starting point, analyze the organization and adaptation of architectural design elements under the guidance of behavioral needs, and thus explore the synchronous design strategies of air traffic control center buildings.By analyzing the behavioral characteristics and needs of air traffic controllers in the special behavioral environment, this paper focuses on the feedback of functional and spatial design elements under the behavioral demand orientation,so as to carry out the study of air control center design strategies, and summarizes them into the dominant strategy of planning structure, the safeguard strategy of functional organization, the pressure relief strategy of internal space and the healing strategy of external space. The special architectural safety positioning of the air control center, the core attributes of the functional functions and the auxiliary tendency of the spatial vision determine the dominant strategy direction in the planning structure;the safeguard strategy of functional organization establishes the functional intensive and efficient functional unit organization mode by analyzing the environment necessary for the safe operation of the building functions, and guarantees the users’ physiological and psychological behavioral needs during the use of the functional units through the assistance of the physical and technical environment. The pressure relief strategy of internal space tries to relieve the huge pressure of controllers’ life duties at the time of work with the diversity of resting spaces and the comforting nature of interaction spaces, and improve the psychological pressure atmosphere of different spaces through the design of space boundaries and details;the healing strategy of external space considers the nature of genetic affinity between human and nature.By studying the external space design method of behavioral extension,we communicate the instinctive demand of human and nature dependence by strengthening natural landscape elements, and construct a healing external space of deep physical and mental relief through the perceptual experience and participation of diverse landscape spaces.Attention to the behavioral needs of air traffic controllers has become an increasingly obvious development trend in the construction of air traffic control centers, not only for the single purpose of ensuring the safe performance of building functions, but also to seek for air traffic control centers with efficient and safe building technology space at the same time to become a humane architectural space design origin direction.
