Railway transportation with higher transport capacity,lower transport price,higher safety and stability has been the most important way for passengers to choose travel,and its position and role in social development is crucial.The task of railway passenger and freight volume is also increasing with the growth of social demand,so to ensure that passengers travel more safely and goods transport more efficiently is the top priority of railway operation.The most effective measure is to reduce the distance between trains to track the running interval,so that the train can travel safely with a smaller tracking interval time,thus improving the efficiency of the train operation.Then the passing ability of the line has also been effectively improved.Based on the analysis of the existing train operation block system,this paper summarizes the characteristics and shortcomings of the existing block system.The tracking interval time of various block systems are qualitatively compared and analyzed.Then,the quantitative comparison analysis is made between the minimum tracking interval between the trains in the mode of hitting "soft wall" and the mode of hitting "hard wall".Compared with the hitting "hard wall" mode,the hitting "soft wall" mode can improve the train operation efficiency.Based on the technical support of vehicle to vehicle communication system and the theory of vehicle following in road traffic,the concept of virtual coupling between trains is proposed.The paper describes and analyzes the operation of the front train and the track train in different virtual coupling scenarios,including five scenarios: train departure,tracking operation,coupling operation,unintentional decoupling and intentional decoupling,and explains the transformation of each operation scenario in the virtual coupling process between trains.Based on the theoretical analysis of car following model,a multi scene train tracking model under virtual coupling mode is constructed by combining with virtual coupling train operation scene.Using anylogic simulation software,according to the train operation scene and the established model,the tracking operation process of the virtual coupling mode train is simulated and analyzed.Selecting the appropriate parameters to simulate and analyze the influence on the track operation process of trains under different values of train deceleration,acceleration and track interval distance;and the efficiency of train operation in virtual coupling mode is improved by comparing with mobile block system in the same value of the above factors.
