| An efficient way of project management can be a critical insurance during the project execution, including planning, managing, controlling, obtaining feedback and updating, especially under the market recession with reducing and low-price order.Having an efficient and effective shipbuilding management became an important mean to enhance core competition of shipbuilding companies. This article is back-grounded with ZZ shipyard, which is running under modern shipbuilding mode.It is mainly focused on the problems of scheduling management and building cycle that occurred during the construction of the delivered vessel no.1to no.4 from 5000 DWT MPV project, and further supplemented by analyzing the project organization and its power and responsibility distribution.By adopting the method of combining reference article and actual data from the case,CPM method and real vessel verification, the key work that caused the delay is identified and confirmed.Considering the in-hand-order and the slipway schedule, the proposal of rearranging the key work from quay period to slipway period is given. The feasibility of the proposal is further confirmed by comparing the CPM of the slip way plan before adjustment and after adjustment. On the other hand,a reasonable construction cycle is concluded by digging out other controllable factors except the key work caused the delay through analyzing the actual data and planned data for each period of the construction and milestone event. While,a reasonable production cycle and an improved progress management can’t work without a good team, therefore,in the end,the optimized proposal is further improved from the aspects of project organization and its power and responsibility distribution. The feasibility of the proposal is finally verified good so far in a very similar project 7350 DWT MPV.The case presented in this article is from a real project that under construction in ZZ Shipyard. The proposal raised in this article is valuable for the construction of small,one-box cargo hold and thin plate structured vessel under current market. |
