| Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway is the first railway independently designed and built by Chinese people with self-raised funds.Xizhimen Station is the first-class station of Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway and the starting station of Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway.It witnessed the changes of the times from Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway to Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway,and has important cross era significance.In 2016,the construction of Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway began,and the old Xizhimen Station was officially shut down,releasing a large number of railway land.The protection,transformation and utilization of railway culture is imminent.Based on the above background,this paper takes Xizhimen Station of Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway as an example to carry out the application research of railway culture in urban public space.Firstly,it combs the historical evolution and overall situation of Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway and Xizhimen Station,studies the typical cases of the transformation of industrial cultural relics at home and abroad through literature review,defines the research direction of this paper,and determines the strategies of repair and site protection.Then,through the methods of field survey,case analysis and cultural heritage analysis,it is found that the environmental sanitation in the region is poor,the public service facilities are imperfect,and there is a lack of external contact with urban space.Finally,in view of these problems,the cultural relics of Xizhimen railway are designed and reconstructed,the typical scenes of Xizhimen old station are repaired and reproduced,and the function of the space is designed.The main achievements are as follows:(1)Comprehensively investigated the theories and typical cases of railway culture,cultural relics,environmental elements and cultural relics protection at home and abroad contained in Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway and Xizhimen Station;(2)For valuable railway facilities and buildings in the area,the maximum degree of protective restoration,reproduction and building facade reconstruction shall be carried out,including characteristic railway facilities such as old platform,1918 buildings,water tower,overpass and canopy,and finally the design results shall be displayed through effect drawings;(3)Put forward a set of design concepts for the protection of railway cultural relics,which can be popularized and copied to the protection of similar railway culture. |
