| Basing on the booming construction of subway in China, this paper took an example for project of space reconstruction design of Beijing Xizhimen transport hub, discussed the problem of optimization design of Xizhimen subway station. In the process of finishing project and writing dissertation, spot mapping, statistical measure of fixed spot, follow-up-survey and questionnaire method were carried on many times in Xizhimen subway station by writer and other several classmates, and the relative interviews were recorded, which made sufficient preparation for following writing. This design project was finished with Xin Wang, Jingyi Liu and Yuanyuan Ding under direction of tutor Yuxiang Dong, in this period, the mapping of Xizhimen subway station was carried on, and800questionnaires were collected.In1960s and1970s, the policy adopted in China that subways’construction should be designed and arranged in a unified way resulted in phenomena among stations in China that thousands of stations looked alike and template of subway stations. With society’s development forward, people’s requirement for life environment improving, the simply constructed, rigid and unified subway space designed40years ago can not satisfy people’s requirement of modern aesthetic appreciation. The research of optimization design of Xizhimen subway station was to sparkplug the characteristic contraction of subway space, appeal for individual design of subway space and extension of area culture character. The renovation design of Xizhimen subway station aims to create a comfort subway space, improve subway environment, lead passengers’ feeling, raise the traffic efficiency in stations and increase passengers’satisfaction rates. |
