A Study On Conservation And Development Of Residential Historic Districts In Republic China Period In Nanjing Based On Community Characteristics

Residential historic district is not only an important urban heritage,but also an integral part of urban community with its own particularity and value.In order to avoid the value destruction brought by development and construction,many researches have explored the conservation and development path of residential historical area from the perspective of community.As the basic attribute of the community,the community characteristic has an inseparable relationship with the conservation and development.From the perspective of community characteristics,this paper makes an in-depth study and analysis of the residential historic district in Republic China period in Nanjing,and puts forward corresponding strategies.The research of this paper is mainly divided into four parts: the theory and practice of the conservation and development of modern residential historic districts at home and abroad,the evolution of residential space in Republic China period in Nanjing and the present surviving status,the in-depth investigation on the community characteristics of residential historic district in FUCHENG New Village,and the proposal of the conservation and development strategy of residential historic districts in Republic China period in Nanjing.The first part summarizes the research status and practical experience of the conservation and development of modern residential historic districts at home and abroad,analyzes the community characteristics of practice cases,studies its conservation and development mode,path,etc.,and analyzes the relationship between its conservation and development and community characteristics.By comparing the differences of community characteristics between different cases at home and abroad,we can selectively draw on experience and effective practice methods.The second part combs,analyzes and summarizes the evolution of residential space in Republic China period in Nanjing and the present remains.From 1912 to 1949,it was divided into four stages,which were analyzed from the aspects of urban structure,residential space characteristics,relevant planning,etc.,and studied the spatial layout characteristics and development and construction mechanism of each stage in detail.Through the author’s field investigation of the present residential districts in Republic China period,the author analyzed and summarized the distribution characteristics,value characteristics,conservation and utilization of the remains.The third part of Nanjing FUCHENG New village residential historic district in-depth investigation,the use of field observation,residents of the interview,neighborhood committee interview,questionnaire distribution and other research methods.The study of community features includes physical space,social space,conservation network,residential trajectory,etc.Physical space features,involving functional structure,residential building,living mode and level,infrastructure construction,etc.;Social spatial characteristics,involving population,property rights,residential groups,social organizations,etc.;The characteristics of conservation network involve the conservation and utilization status and the comprehensive characteristics of related subjects.In terms of residence trajectory,based on questionnaires and interviews,community emotion,conservation intention,improvement intention and relocation intention were studied.The fourth part summarizes the conservation and development paths of domestic and foreign cases,reflects on the existing conservation and development models in Nanjing,studies and summarizes the relationship between the characteristics of the FUCHENG New village community and the conservation and utilization,and proposes the conservation and development strategy of the residential historic districts in Republic China period in Nanjing based on the characteristics of the community.The strategy is carried out from the three levels of micro,medium and macro,namely the classification of micro level,the correlation system of medium level and the management system of macro level.The specific strategies in the three levels are all based on the characteristics of the community that have a great impact on them,with the aim of conserving and developing residential historic districts in a targeted way.Then the proposed conservation and development methods are applied to the FUCHENG new village,and specific conservation and development strategies are put forward.
