| The construction industry,as the mainstay industry in the national economy,accounts for more than a quarter of national GDP.Improving construction quality is regarded to play a fundamental role in the sustainable and healthy development of the industry.Prefabricated construction technology has been prompted by Chinese government to achieve that goal.However,architecture design,which plays a significant role in construction quality management,does not work effectively due to lacking the concerns of construction requirements.Site record,as an inevitable step in construction management,effectively reflects the construction procedure and provides project quality improvement basic data.It is of great potential to apply that work as a useful feedback mechanism in design optimization.Conventional site-record,however,does not match characteristics of prefabrication construction because of bias in construction cognition.Therefore,this research managed to optimizing present record method to meet the requirement of prefabricated construction.In the analysis on present prefabricated building design method and procedure,building a feedback from the construction stage to the design side was considered an effective way to improve the design quality.Therefore,site-record was introduced as an construction data collection and translation tool to transform the construction situation to design assistance.The component-based building cognition and virtualconstruction-based design method was introduced through the analysis on the design and construction of prefabricated buildings to prove the integrity of information transformation.Based on which,a componentbased site-record framework was established through taking building component as the record objects and data carrier.The detailed implementation procedure,and the application potential of this framework were elaborated in this dissertation.Specific recording criteria were established according to different research goals.The framework was applied and optimized in the case study of C-House,in which building design and construction quality were improved through corresponding on-site construction requirement to specific design parameters.This research also applied the framework in the study of stupas in Qixia Temple to obtain its component data and to conjecture its construction method.This case proved that the framework can be effectively adopted as an information acquiring method when studying on construction-related subjects.Component-based site record framework established a concrete relation,that between building construction and architecture design,with the media of the component.Not only improve record effectiveness and quality,the framework also provides architectural design the improvement basis and direction.The engineering information formed by this recording method can be regarded as accurate first-hand information for the research fields of construction management,design optimization,building sustainability,etc. |
