| The aggressive behavior of drivers is observed as the most significant contributory factor in road traffic accidents in Pakistan. This study designed to develop a set of measures aggressive behaviors of drivers in Pakistan and china with the help of modified driver behavior questionnaire DBQ consist of(1)personal information,(2)15 DBQ,(3)driver perceptions both in English and Chinese versions. The main aim of this paper is to investigate driving behavior in Pakistan and china and also to investigate the applicability of three-factor structure(aggressive violations, ordinary violations and errors)of the both version of DBQ.The main attention taken on drivers attitudes towards traffic safety issues were become angry at another driver and chase them with the intension of showing them how annoyed you are,do you use seat belts, how often do you disobey traffic signals/lights,Disregard the speed limit on a residential road.Using Confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)both the samples produces a factor structure that broadly supported the three factors of aggressive violations, ordinary violations and errors.ANOVA was conducted to evaluate significant test and it shows that Chinese sample is more significant.CFA and SEM were tested and calculated on both samples,Chinese samples fit the CFA statistics models and Pakistani samples fit the SEM statistics models. From the 15 questions related to driving behavior it was observed that Pakistani drivers shows more aggressiveness as compared to Chinese. It was also observed that Pakistan drivers especially in younger drivers are mostly engaged in errors such as use of seat belts, did not obey the traffic rules, speedy driving, angry while driving, fail to check mirrors etc.and Chinese drivers appears more discipline and rule followers as compared to Pakistani. But still there are some important young driver attitudes in both countries which need improvements for safe movements on the road. |
