Maritime transportation is the most important transportation mode in international logistics because it has natural channel,is not limited by road and track, has low cost and large volume, and undertakes 90% of the global trade volume. The "Maritime Silk Road" covers a large area and covers a wide range. It plays an important role in carrying out cooperation and exchanges in important areas such as port shipping and economic trade among countries along the route, improving China’s opening-up level, and promoting regional economic integration.Container transportation can effectively overcome the disadvantages of traditional transportation, greatly improve the efficiency and quality of transportation, resulting in huge economic benefits. With the rapid development in recent decades,it has become the first choice of more and more maritime transportation modes.Container transportation can effectively overcome the disadvantages of traditional transportation, greatly improve the efficiency and quality of transportation, resulting in huge economic benefits. With the rapid development in recent decades,it has become the first choice of more and more maritime transportation modes. In view of this, reasonable construction of the "Maritime Silk Road" container transportation network, and robustness analysis and optimization based on the network are currently urgent problems to be solved.Complex network theory is widely used in biology, transportation and other disciplines, and has achieved fruitful research results.Higher-order network is based on the complex network, which further considers the important information of the complex connection relationship, such as multiplicity, heterogeneity, temporal sequence.Scholars have found that once we consider all kinds of important information of complex connections, the research results will change greatly. However, the current research on higher-order network is more about the node ranking and community detection of network, and the expansion of robustness has not been involved;the research on maritime transportation along the "Maritime Silk Road" and even global maritime transportation is more based on the previous complex network. This is not conducive to the development of higher-order network, but also affects the further planning of shipping network. From the perspective of higher-order network, this paper will build the " Maritime Silk Road " container transportation network based on the official website data of the top10 liner companies in 2020 provided by Alphaliner company of France. On this basis, first of all,the existing measurement of higher-order network structure characteristics is expanded,so that it can measure the network structure characteristics more comprehensively;secondly, robustness analysis is carried out based on the measurement results of network structure characteristics, and a new index is proposed according to the characteristics of higher-order network on the basis of combining the existing indexes;finally, according to the robustness analysis results, the "Maritime Silk Road" container transportation network will be optimized. The study found that the dependency relationship among the nodes of the "Maritime Silk Road" container transportation network can reach up to the sixth order, that is,there are six ports with fixed route sequence and high frequency. In addition, more than 19.7%of the ports belong to more than one community;robustness analysis shows that the robustness of deliberately attacking important node network is lower than that of random attack when attacking nodes, but when attacking edges, the results of deliberately attacking edges with higher weights are different from those when attacking nodes;aiming at the problems found in the robustness analysis, the network is optimized based on the characteristics of the network microstructure, and the optimization results show that the optimized network shows stronger robustness.
