In 2019,China has entered the popularization stage of higher education,and the enrollment rate of higher education will exceed 50%.The policy guidance and key requirements of "building a high quality education system" make the construction of colleges and universities usher in new challenges and opportunities.As the center of innovation research and talent output,colleges and universities are the blind spots of construction and designers.The single "index" requirement promotes the rapid construction of a large number of colleges and universities,consumes a lot of social resources,lacks the continuous research of design researchers on the public space of university teaching buildings,and the design theory guidance lags behind the practical needs of university talent training mode.The research on the public space of modern university teaching building in China started late.The early research can be traced back to the 1980 s,and there were many discussions about the architecture of colleges and universities in the early 20 th century.In the new era,the quality of talents is required to be more comprehensive.The educational mode of cultivating talents in Colleges and universities keeps pace with the times.Public space has become a part of the educational space,forcing the public space to move towards the complexity of "polysemy"."Polysemy space" as the theoretical focus of this paper,"polysemy space" is a criticism of the lack of individual consciousness of functionalism.The "polysemy" of space is mainly characterized by two aspects: one is the added value of space,in addition to the established functions,space should also have "activating factors" to stimulate users to continuously enhance spatial characteristics;the other is the flexibility of spatial functions,space has the potential to change functional attributes.The purpose of "polysemy space" is to expand the significance of space in time and space dimensions.This paper takes the public space of teaching building in Colleges and universities as the research object.The public space of teaching building is a very important part of students’ study in school.It is the most important part in the construction of colleges and universities to undertake students’ interpersonal activities,health movement demand and traffic evacuation function after class.The author makes a comparative analysis of practical cases at home and abroad,reviews the development history and design theory The existing problems of public space design are analyzed by surveying and other research methods.At the same time,social education mode,project-based education mode and other educational ideas appeal to the public space,which brings opportunities and challenges to the public space of teaching building.How to make the public space of university teaching building efficient,flexible and humanized service for teachers and students is an urgent practical problem.This paper deeply analyzes the space value of three types of public space in higher education teaching building,namely,the polysemous space of core activity,the polysemous space of rest link and the polysemous space of moving line crossing.Starting from the development of public space in teaching buildings of colleges and universities,the innovation of education mode in Colleges and universities,and the demand analysis of the behavior of users,this paper theoretically explores a design method for the generation of spatial ambiguity in the public space of teaching buildings in Colleges and universities.Four innovative design methods are summarized as follows: first,the relationship between the material and geometry of polysemy space highlights the role of space activation;second,the organization of the relationship between polysemy space and other architectural spaces strengthens the overall order of architecture;third,polysemy space,as the transition between the internal and external space of architecture,participates in the definition of terrain and urban interface of architecture,and shapes the overall architectural form;fourth,polysemy space plays an important role in the design of architecture The relationship between polysemy space and human body,behavior,memory and emotion stimulates human space perception and imagination.It aims to create a multi semantic public space in Colleges and universities,and further make up for the lack of public space in Colleges and universities.Finally,with the help of polysemy space design techniques,this paper expounds the architectural design of the teaching building of Xihua University in Yibin,Sichuan Province. |
