As an important movable water retaining structure,radial gate plays an important role in water conservancy and hydropower projects.Because of its advantages of reasonable structure stress,small opening and closing force,safe and reliable operation,good channel flow conditions,etc.it is widely used in reservoir for flood discharge and flow regulation.While there are still many shortcomings in the current gate design:First,the current gate drawing is still using the method of line by line drawing,so the drawing efficiency is low,parameterization is not able,and it is troublesome in modification and easy to make mistakes;Second,it is need to provide the gate weight in each stage of the project,while it is inefficient to count components one by one,which is easy to make mistakes and aggravate the design workload.Finally,the traditional design calculates the radial gate of spatial structure based on the plane structure system without considering the deformation coordination among components and the gate weight,and the calculation results are not particularly accurate;In addition,designers can only adjust the gate structure manually through theoretical design calculation and subjective experience,they can’t consider many factors,so it is difficult to optimize the gate structure.With the development of computer science and technology,3D digital technology is gradually applied to the construction of water conservancy and hydropower projects,which provides the possibility to solve the above problems.In view of the above problems,preparation and calculation of the radial gate was completed with the help of Excel programming,digital design of the radial gate was established based on SolidWorks,then the model was simplified and transformed with the help of SCDM software and introduced into HyperWorks software for simulation and optimization.Finally,the digital design parameters of the model were modified and the engineering drawing was drawn.The digital design,simulation and optimization of the radial gate can improve the design efficiency and accuracy,optimize the structure,reduce the steel consumption and improve the engineering economy.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Layout calculation of radial gate.First,theory and principle of the general layout planning and parts design and calculation of radial gate were introduced;Then,compiling method and principle of calculation book were introduced: Calculation book of the radial gate was prepared with Excel,and data processing program was computed based on the Excel table with VBA,so the tables could be controlled,to realize the automation of the calculation book,which improves the calculation efficiency and accuracy.(2)Digital design of radial gate.First,parametric modeling was completed based on SolidWorks 3D design software,layout sketch of the model,the multi-entity modeling technology,the parameterization of the model,and the establishment of the model library were introduced,the modeling methods of main components of each main gate were introduced;Then,create engineering drawing template and generate engineering drawing,compile the specification acquisition program of each plate of the gate,realize the automation of weight statistics of the plate of the gate material table,and quickly obtain the weight and center of gravity of the gate.(3)Simulation and optimization.First,3D model was simplified and converted with the help of SCDM software to realize the conversion from solid structure to surface structure;Then the model was imported to HyperMesh software for geometric cleaning and pre-processing,and analysis and optimization files of the finite element model were generated;Finally,the gate structure was analyzed and optimized by OptiStruct software,and the gate design was more optimized and more economical.(4)Engineering case application.Based on the project case,the digital design,simulation and optimization of the radial gate of a large project were carried out.Factory production and site installation of the gate were completed and the research was confirmed.The results show that strength and stiffness of the radial gate are enough,and the weight of the optimized gate is reduced by 11.5% compared with the initial design. |
