Research On The Architectural Design Of Shaoxing College Of Arts And Sciences Inheriting The Regional Context Of Shaoxing

Regional context is the soul of architectural creation.Since the 1980s,the architectural creation of regional context has attracted widespread attention,and Chinese architects and scholars have made a lot of exploration and research on this.Facing the general trend of globalization today,there are still phenomena such as uniformity and lack of culture in architectural creation in our country.The article originated from design practice.Through the excavation and combing of Shaoxing’s regional context,the design strategy of "harmonious but different" is adopted to reflect the inheritance of regional context in architectural design,in order to provide new ideas for the creation and research of architectural context Perspectives and ideas.The article first explains the origin of the research,the selection of research objects,and explains the related concepts of regional context,clarifies the research objects and scope,and proposes research ideas and research frameworks.In the second step,through the sorting and research of the Shaoxing regional context,the elements of the Shaoxing regional context related to architecture were extracted,forming a library of architectural design elements based on the inheritance of the Shaoxing regional context.Tracing the architectural prototypes of the elements,comparing them with the examples of Shaoxing’s land-based buildings,and dividing the elements into two categories,suitable for the whole and individual.Finally,it points out how to inherit and develop Shaoxing regional culture through the creative idea of "harmonious but different" in the overall and individual elements of the campus design of Shaoxing College of Arts and Sciences,and discuss it through specific projects that the author participated in at the end of the article.
