The Industrial Revolution in the 18th century has led to the gradual deterioration of the ecological environment, and promoted the birth and development of modern landscape architecture.Because of the intensified environmental crisis after World War II,the public has paid more and more attention to the appropriate development and restoration of natural resources.Urban wetland parks play an important role in coordinating the relationship between protection and utilization of wetlands. However, there are some serious problems in the planning and design practice of them.On the one hand, excessive esteem for ecological functions leads to less consideration of the actual users’ feelings and lack of the satisfaction of the public’s aesthetic needs. On the other hand, excessive consideration of the public’s feelings and aesthetic interests obstructs the healthy and sustainable development of the ecosystem. Therefore,it is the key problem in this research to clarify how to coordinate the conflicts between ecological and aesthetic needs of urban wetland parks through landscape planning and design. This research uses questionnaire surveys,in-depth interviews, document analysis and other methods to analyze the urban wetland parks based on relevant theories of ecological-aesthetic perception. And then it constructs the ecological-aesthetic perception evaluation standards of urban wetland parks,to find out the design influence factors and their permutation and combination about public ecological-aesthetic perception, and proposes urban wetland parks landscape optimization strategies harmonizing the health of the ecosystem and the needs of the public’s aesthetic experience. This thesis is composed of 7 chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which clarifies the research background, object, purpose and significance. Also,it reviews relevant domestic and foreign literature to summarize the core ideas and proposes the research content, methods, and the writing framework. The second chapter is the basic theory and analysis framework, which clarifies the concepts of urban wetland parks,ecological-aesthetic perception, and ecological aesthetics. Also,it builds the analysis framework of this research based on grounded theory and post project evaluation, and proposes the technical route. The third chapter is the selection and analysis of the research objects.Based on analysis of urban wetland parks,it determines the idea of cross-case comparative research by clarifying the ecological and aesthetic attributes of them. The fourth chapter is the construction of the evaluation standard of urban wetland parks ecology-aesthetic perception, including public perception standard, expert recognition standard and design evaluation standard. The public perception standard is obtained through field research bases on grounded theory. The expert perception standard is built by literature analysis and expert interviews. And the design evaluation standard is obtained through literature analysis. And the evaluation standard for the ecologicalaesthetic perception of urban wetland parks is constructed by integrating the above all.The fifth chapter is the extraction of the design influence factors of the typical nodes of urban wetland parks.Base on the evaluation standards of urban wetland parks ecologicalaesthetic perception,it explores the design influencing factors under the three situations of focusing on ecological demand, focusing on aesthetic demand, and integrating ecological and aesthetic demand. The sixth chapter is the application of optimization strategies for the node landscape design of urban wetland parks. The design methods drawn in the fifth Chapter are used to optimize nodes with poor ecological-aesthetic perception to make them have both ecological and aesthetic attribute to achieve a harmonious and balanced state between aesthetic needs and ecological benefits. The seventh chapter is conclusions and prospects. It puts forward the main conclusions and innovations of this research, and points out the existing shortcomings. There are four parts in this research.Firstly,it summarizes the public perception standards of urban wetland parks through the grounded theory.Secondly,it constructs the experts’ perception standards of urban wetland parks.Thirdly,it builds the urban wetland parks design evaluation standards.Fourthly,it proposes optimization strategy of node landscape based on the analysis of the above three types of standards.
