Research On The Protection And Renewal Of Pingyao Ancient City Space Form Based On Space Syntax

Pingyao ancient city,as one of the four best preserved ancient cities in China,has rich material and intangible heritage.The social,cultural,economic and other factors of the ancient city together form the existing spatial form of the ancient city.The research on spatial morphology of each spatial level has always been the most mature and classic field of space syntax.Space syntax holds that there is a correlation between urban function and space form,and space form has feedback and influence on economic development,social culture,human behavior and ideology,which is consistent with the definition of space form.Therefore,taking Pingyao ancient city as the research object,this paper analyzes the whole space,street space,courtyard space and open space of the ancient city through space syntax.This paper is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which discusses the research background and significance,research object and content,research method and framework,definition of related concepts and literature review.The second chapter first analyzes the geographical location,natural environment and social and cultural environment of the ancient city,and combs the evolution process of the ancient city.Then,according to the research needs,it studies the evolution rules and existing problems of the overall spatial form of the ancient city through the Kangxi period,the late Qing Dynasty and the present three periods.The third chapter first interprets the spatial characteristics of the ancient city streets and lanes through the line model analysis and line of sight analysis,and then analyzes the correlation between the pedestrian flow,spatial form and the distribution of commercial forms in the ancient city streets and lanes,studies the law of people’s movement in the streets and lanes and the distribution characteristics of commercial forms in the ancient city,excavates the internal relations,and reveals the development problems behind them.In the fourth chapter,according to the combination of courtyard groups,the courtyard is divided into independent courtyard,series courtyard and parallel courtyard.Then,the function,culture and organization of courtyard are brought into a theoretical framework.Based on the "convex space model" of space syntax,five typical traditional dwellings are selected for the quantitative analysis of spatial structure,and the orientation characteristics,organization characteristics,spatial structure of each unit of courtyard are analyzed Function and characteristics,cultural connotation are summarized.In the fifth chapter,Huize Park,Hualin Park and Helan park are selected as the research objects,and the syntactic analysis and environmental image evaluation are combined to reveal the dominant factors affecting the vitality of the space.In the syntactic analysis,first of all,field research is carried out to obtain the traffic data of the street where the entrance of the open space is located,and the correlation analysis between the data and syntactic parameters is carried out to explore the impact of the overall spatial structure of the ancient city on the spatial vitality,and then the line of sight analysis is carried out to measure the difficulty of finding the open space in the whole urban spatial system.In the process of environmental image evaluation,the data are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to explore the existing problems and explore the important factors affecting the spatial quality.The sixth chapter takes the problem as the guidance,according to the problems existing in different spatial levels,puts forward the corresponding protection and renewal strategies.The seventh chapter is the conclusion,including the research conclusion,innovation,deficiency and prospect.This paper makes a quantitative analysis of the spatial form of Pingyao ancient city by quoting space syntax,explores the characteristics of each level of space of the ancient city,reveals the internal logic of the spatial structure of the ancient city,and demonstrates the existing problems of the ancient city,so as to put forward the protection and renewal strategies,so as to provide some reference for the future renewal and development of the ancient city.
