Study On The Spatial Form Of Pingyao Ancient City Based On Space Syntax

With the development of social economy,the work of famous historical and cultural cities in China has been paid more and more attention by scholars.The ancient city protection system has been put forward so far,both the practice of ancient city protection planning and the related theoretical research of protection planning have been relatively mature.At present,the ancient city protection is analyzed and studied from the qualitative point of view,but less from the quantitative point of view.Pingyao Ancient City is one of the second batch of famous historical and cultural cities in China,and its protection planning is basically perfect.However,the contradiction between the ancient city tourism development and protection is becoming increasingly prominent.How to better protect the ancient city while meeting the needs of tourists is the problem that the ancient city needs to solve at present.Therefore,it is of great significance for the protection of the ancient city to make a quantitative analysis of the street space and key building space in Pingyao by using space syntax,and put forward protection suggestions based on the analysis results.This paper mainly uses the field investigation method,literature reading method and quantitative analysis method to study Pingyao Ancient City of Jinzhong City,Shanxi Province.Firstly,the spatial syntactic analysis method suitable for Pingyao Ancient City is summarized by reading relevant domestic and foreign literatures.Second axis analysis,the line of sight of the space syntax analysis method and convex space analysis method on the overall space form,the important of the ancient city of street’s space form and key construction yard space analysis and get the following results: the ancient city of the depth of the integral space value is low,high integration,integral space accessibility is good,can understand degree is high;The integration degree of four main streets and eight small streets is higher,while the line of sight occlusion degree is lower.In the courtyard space of key buildings,the connection value between each courtyard and other space is relatively high,while the accessibility of other buildings is relatively low.Finally,according to the analysis results,corresponding protection suggestions are put forward for different spatial scales of Pingyao Ancient City.In this paper,the theory and method of space syntax are used to make an empirical study of Pingyao ancient city,so as to provide references and suggestions for the application analysis and protection of space syntax in famous historical and cultural cities,and to provide reference for the study of space syntax in other fields.This paper uses the theory and method of space syntax to explore the possibility of the preservation of ancient cities,provides a way of thinking for the preservation of ancient cities besides the qualitative analysis,and expands the boundary of the theory and method of the preservation of ancient cities.
