Study On Geographical Color Of Historical And Cultural District Of Hohhot City

Famous historical and cultural city--Hohhot has been established for more than2300 years.Due to the particularity of its location and its unique nationality,the city inherits the traditional regional color and context,and has a unique city color and style.Urban color is experiencing the contradiction between inheritance and development.The color style of historical and cultural blocks is not prominent enough,and its color influence cannot be spread to the whole city.There is a fault between the color of historical buildings and the color of emerging buildings.For a long time,the city color problem of Hohhot has not attracted wide attention,lack of relevant research,and lack of corresponding systematic planning guidance.This study follows the four principles of protection planning proposed in Hohhot City Master Plan(2011-2020),and takes the buildings in three historical and cultural blocks,namely,Zeyang Laojie-Dazhao Historical and Cultural Block,Xiliuzhao-Dashengkui Historical and Cultural Block,and Gongzhongfu Historical and Cultural Block,as the main research objects.And each historical and cultural block is divided into three style areas,which are the core protection area,the construction control area and the style coordination area.According to the classification of three types of style areas,related color research is carried out in different levels.Firstly,through literature search,the historical evolution of Hohhot historical and cultural districts and the development and evolution process of regional colors are sorted out,and the five-color system of regional colors is excavated.Secondly,the NCS color system is used to conduct field color measurement of the main color,auxiliary color and ornament color of the buildings in the block,and then the self-built Java program is used to conduct statistical analysis of the color measurement data to clarify the color problems existing in the current situation of the block.Thirdly,combined with natural factors,historical and human factors,urban construction factors,field research results,color essence identification;Finally,based on the color essence identification,the geographic color value benchmark of historical and cultural blocks is proposed.This study provides a theoretical basis for the study of Hohhot’s urban color style,and at the same time,strengthens the inheritance of regional historical context and enhances the sense of national cultural identity.At the same time,it provides some reference for the study of urban color in other ethnic minority areas.
