Sino-French Cooperation And Challenges On Clean Energy

The current global energy structure and energy demand are undergoing major changes,and the development trend of the energy transition is becoming much clearer.Clean energy will gradually replace conventional energy.On the contrary,Trump government withdraws from the "Paris Agreement" and proposes the US energy first policy.However,China and the European Union have always followed the "Paris Agreement" and actively seek clean energy cooperation.France is an important promoter of the "Paris Agreement".To pursue the international image of a major climate and clean energy country,it is bound to attach importance to China’s status and role in this field.In this context,China and France intend to strengthen their investment cooperation and technology research and development in the field of clean energy,and extend the scope of cooperation to third-party market countries(mainly in Africa)to accelerate the low-carbon and clean global energy structure,which can improve their right to speak and lead in the new round of energy revolution.China and France regard clean energy cooperation as an important way to respond to climate change,transform the energy structure,and develop a low-carbon economy.This article first explores the characteristics of Sino-French cooperation in the field of clean energy,including the characteristics of bilateral cooperation and promotion in third-party markets;The second is the reasons for China and France in the field of clean energy,including the reasons for bilateral cooperation and the reasons for cooperation in Africa;then China and France face the challenges in the field of clean energy,including the challenges faced by bilateral cooperation and the challenges encountered in Africa;and finally proposals for China and France will strengthen cooperation in clean energy.As a major energy consumer,China has always been on the verge of international energy diplomacy.As the largest producer of clean energy,China will occupy a core position in the new round of energy revolution.China should actively strive for the rights to speak and dominate in international clean energy and global climate governance,and avoid being in a passive position.
