Research On Renewal And Rejuvenation Of Old Community Based On Urban Catalyst

The old community is the unique spatial memory of the urban area,which contains the history and context of the city.With the problems of the low quality of living environment in the old community become prominent,the objective need for renewal is becoming more and more intense.Xiaojie Community,located in Kunyang of Jinning District,Kunming,is the birthplace of Kunyang city culture.It retains the street framework with a long history and unique space,there are common problems in the old community.Based on the theory of "urban catalyst",this research takes the urban design of part of Xiaojie Community as the carrier,studies and summarizes the basic theory and relevant cases,conducts field research and analysis on the design objects,proposes specific methods for renewal and rejuvenation of part of Xiaojie Community according to local conditions,and integrates the research results into the design scheme.In the design,the key strategies of "stage" and "space-time" of the "urban catalyst" theory are used,and the rejuvenation is divided into three stages.Through the completion of the planning,architecture,landscape and other design practice of part of Xiaojie Community,it provides ideas and reference for the renewal and rejuvenation of similar old urban communities.
