Research driving simulator has the advantages of controllable,safe and efficient experimental environment,and has been widely used in the study of driving behavior and traffic safety.In order to avoid problems such as low fidelity of driving simulator scenes developed by traditional methods such as Direct and Open GL and great difficulty in making dynamic scenes,this paper carries out research on scientific driving simulator based on Unity3D technology.The structure of the driving simulation system is constructed,and the experimental control platform of the simulator,3D scene modeling and the extended function of the simulation system are studied.Firstly,the key technologies of driving simulation were analyzed,on which the overall scheme of the simulator was constructed.Based on C# window programming technology,the simulation experiment control platform was constructed,and the cockpit data acquisition program based on serial port communication was developed.The vehicle dynamics simulation program is developed based on object-oriented programming.In order to realize the transmission of vehicle dynamics calculation results to the virtual reality platform,a simulator communication system was built based on UDP protocol,which effectively improved the transmission efficiency and reduced the network communication delay.Secondly,combined with the extended characteristics of Unity3D editor,the interactive modeling system of 3D scenes of driving simulator is built.A parameterized road modeling tool was developed,and a convenient and realistic 3D scene modeling tool was built by combining with Terrain modeling tool and prefabricated modeling method.Based on the Bezier spline curve,a pedestrian and vehicle motion modeling tool is built to realize the rapid addition of dynamic pedestrians and surrounding vehicles in the simulated scene.Finally,the function of the simulator was expanded and researched,and a method to realize the simulator mobile phone virtual navigation system was proposed.Based on Java programming,virtual GPS,virtual map and voice broadcasting functions were tested.A virtual camera sensor is developed,which provides a simple solution for the simulator to automatically follow the driving.The research of this project has important theoretical and practical significance.
