High-quality development has become the development trend of China and Yunnan in the new period.People’s activities are gradually increasing at night,and urban nightscape has gradually become noticed.However,many cities ignore the overall style and features of the night,or only use simple lighting projects,resulting in poor night appearance,lack of imaginability.How to think and guide the urban nightscape planning from the perspective of urban image and promote the effective improvement of urban nightscape is worth thinking.At present,the urban nightscape of Chuxiong City in Yunnan Province lacks planning guidance,and style and features are not good.It is not conducive to the display of city night image.Based on the perspective of urban image,being problem oriented,using literature research method,case analysis method,field survey research,questionnaire survey method and other methods,carry out the urban nightscape image and urban nightscape planning research.This thesis firstly analyzes the background,theory,development and related cases of urban image,urban nightscape image and its planning at home and abroad.And learn from the good aspects of nightscape development.Summarized the urban night image integrity is insufficient,not imaginable,and the planning is unreasonable and so on.Then,it systematically studies the main factors that affect the cognition and planning of urban nightscape image.Including physical space(areas,boundaries,roads,nodes,landmarks),subjective feelings and other special factors.Analyze how the related factors produce the image characteristics on urban nightscape.Secondly,based on night image,it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the current urban nightscape image of Chuxiong City and its design,and whether the image features of the current urban nightscape can be effectively identified.The image of nightscene of Chuxiong City is obtained.Then,the overall orientation,planning,control and management strategy of night scene in Chuxiong city are put forward.Finally,put forward the conclusion and pay attention to the misunderstanding of the nightscape planning.In addition,it is proposed to adopt the overall and systematic nocturnal nightscape image improvement,shape the urban nocturnal nightscape through the urban image elements,integrate the regional cultural characteristics and pay attention to daytime features to carry out the three nocturnal nightscape planning strategies and methods.Set up urban nightscape image system.Build a nightscape planning system.Considerations are raised and provide some help for the similar small and medium-sized cities to improve the nightscape.
