Research On Open Space Design Strategy Of Urban School District Based On Child Friendly

In 2013,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward the "trial school district system",marking that the construction of school districts in China has been carried out in an all-round way.In many cities of our country,primary and secondary school students have to go to school according to the regulations,so most of their life time is limited in the school district.At the same time,with the rise of the concept of child friendliness in China,more and more scholars regard children as an important research object of urban construction,so as to build a child friendly city and protect children’s right to a happy and healthy life.As the main place of daily life and study for school-age children in our country,the friendliness of children in urban school district is essential under such environment.In this paper,the open space of urban school district is the research subject,and the school-age children aged 6-12 are the research objects.By using the methods of literature research,field research,questionnaire and interview,comparative research and practical demonstration,the design strategy of open space of urban school district based on children friendliness is studied.The results are as follows:(1)The author randomly selected 85 primary school districts in Changsha City for general survey.Based on the current situation of residential areas in the school district as the basic classification standard,the existing school districts are divided into three categories:new school district,renewal school district and old school district.Then select 10 representative urban school districts from the most proportion of renewal school districts,and conduct in-depth field survey from the three aspects of the status quo of the space outside the primary school,the street space,and other public activity space.It is found that each of the 10 school districts has its own shortcomings,and detailed summary and list the unfriendly factors to children in the school district.(2)Through the questionnaire and interview survey of school-age children and adults in the school district,it is pointed out that the open space suitable for children’s activities in the school district should be mainly concentrated in the places near home and school,and children’s travel safety and site safety issues need to be paid attention to.In addition,through the investigation of children’s favorite activities,"scooter,roller skating and other skating sports","amusement facilities in the park" and "catch-up game" ranked the top three children’s favorite activities.Therefore,in the design process of the open space in the school district,we should also consider the appropriate scale and children’s activities equipment and facilities needed for different activities.(3)Finally,the author puts forward the design strategy of "space construction based on Safety + creating interesting open space network + focusing on active children’s activity space",improving the safety of truth and site,combining point,line and surface spaces and embedding interest elements.According to the different nature of space near school,home or other open spaces,it is suggested that children’s activity space should be divided into waiting space,play space and education space to realize the diversification of children’s activities.The design of open space in the primary school district of Hunan Agricultural University is taken as the design practice of play space in the context of children’s friendliness.Building a child friendly open space in urban school districts can provide the goal and direction for urban school districts to achieve "child friendliness" and promote the construction of China’s child friendly cities,ensure children’s activity needs,create a livable environment for children,and let children grow up healthily and happily.
