As a rich clean renewable energy wind power industry is developing rapidly.The wind energy resources in Wuzhong area of Ningxia are abundant,but the development and utilization of wind energy is low due to the constraints such as terrain.The development of wind power industry in this certain mountainous terrain in Ningxia can not only deliver electricity to the power grid,but also develop tourism industry to drive local economic development.Therefore,this paper makes scientific planning for the proposed wind farm in Wuzhong area of Ningxia,uses THE WASP software to analyze the distribution of wind energy resources,establishes iterative data model of multiple wind measurements,and then uses Wind PRO software to make optimization with combination of manual adjustment to optimize the wind turbine layout.This paper mainly make the study of wind resource analysis and calculation,wind turbine and electrical equipment selection,wind turbine layout and economic analysis,the results and achievements are as follows:(1)Wind measurement mast arrangement and measurement data processing.Planning the northern,central and southern part of wind farm,and establishing four representative wind measurement masts to measure wind speed,wind direction and other data at different height,combining with the characteristics of the Wuzhong region in accordance with the national standard wind survey data integrity and rationality test,to guarantee the correct analysis of wind resources in the region.(2)Regional wind resource assessment and turbine position review.By collecting meteorological,topographical and other data,calculating the wind shear,the turbulence intensity of each height and using WASP software to establish model.Based on wind speed and wind direction,a mathematical model is established to obtain a wind map,a model based on wind map is established to obtain the average wind speed and wind power density,combined with the power curve of the wind turbine,to calculate the power generation capacity of it.After the use of Wind PRO software to automatically optimize the location of wind turbine with combination of manual location adjustment,the best layout and wind farm optimal power generation figures out.(3)Study wind turbines,electrical equipme nt selection,optimization of layout and social effects.According to the analysis of wind resources of the proposed site,take comprehensive consideration to the study of the manufacturing level,technical maturity,site situation,installation scale,power index,investment analysis and other comprehensive factors,3MW is concluded to be the most suitable turbine for this region.This paper studies the selection and arrangement of electrical equipment,and evaluates and analyzes the economic and social effects.The results show that the construction and operation of the wind farm is beneficial to local energy conservation and emission reduction,electricity structural adjustment and local economic development.The research work of this paper can provide th eoretical reference for the location of wind farms in mountainous areas and the feasibility analysis of construction.
