Emotionalized Design Of Products That Focus On The Meaning-Oriented User Experience

With the rapid economic development,users’ emotional needs for products are growing.User-product Interactions gradually extend from visual,auditory,tactile,and other multi-sensory interaction to the emotional interaction.However,factors affecting emotionalized design are mostly too fuzzy and abstract to be interpreted.Therefore,ways to effectively improve the user-product emotional interaction have become a hot spot in the research of product design.By focusing on the meaning behind the product,this article discussed methods to detect the product meaning and ways to transfer the meaning into design.Taking a transducer’s design as the example,this article verified the emotionalized design methods and application of products that focus on the meaning-oriented user experience.The research mainly includes:From the perspective of product design,relevant literature of physical interaction,emotionalized design,and symbol design were summarized.The composition and interpretation of product meaning-oriented design were worked out,and the designIn this article,three dimensions industry development,corporate vision,and personal expectations – were suggested as directions for detecting the product meaning.Taking the form or color combination as the medium for product meaning “transforming-mapping”,this article pointed out that “the meaning behind the product” should be reflected in the product’s appearance design.A XICHI XFC550 general-purpose transducer was taken as the research object.Its appearance design was carried out by taking the meaning of form,CMF,and emotional interaction into consideration.Experiments were also conducted to prove the positive influence of product meaning-oriented design on the result of human-machine control.According to the research,methods to detect the product meaning and ways to transfer the meaning into design proposed in this article can improve the product’s emotionalized design.Meaning-oriented product significantly helps users quickly master the product,proving that the emotionalized design of product focusing on meaning-oriented user experience is feasible and resultful.
