The Cultural Construction Of Urban Open Space From The Perspective Of Mapping Methodology

The rapid development of contemporary cities and the resulting lack of urban culture have severely restricted the healthy development of the city and the cultural experience of urban residents.With the increasing demand of urban residents for spiritual culture,new requirements have been put forward for the construction of urban open space and cultural creation.Faced with such a phenomenon,planners began to call for humanistic design concepts,seeking to establish an excellent urban open space cultural construction method system,and so the mapping,which analyzes multiple issues in a clear and graphical way,returned to The forefront of subject discussions.Combining "mapping" with cultural research can explore how to use "mapping" theory to create more possibilities in the cultural construction of open space from the perspective of urban design,combining the development of disciplines and the context of the needs of the times.This article takes "mapping" as the method prototype,the urban open space as the research scope,and the cultural construction as the research object.Based on the research of scholars in the industry,the theory of mapping in traditional cartography has been translated into urban open space,and the theoretical framework of cartography,urban open space,and culturality has been established in a targeted manner.On this basis,starting from the two basic directions of the visual expression of the interface based on the result and the generation of the spatial form based on the creation,combined with a large number of examples,the cultural construction method from the perspective of cartography is analyzed and summarized layer by layer,and the complete process of cultural construction is explained.And establish the corresponding relationship between the construction method and the cultural elements,and explore new application forms for the universalization of the construction method.The research content is divided into three parts: theoretical research and construction-layer by layer decomposition of construction methods and case interpretation-method summary and applicable strategy research.The first part clarified the theoretical prototype and value of mapping by combing and categorizing related disciplines.Based on the binary interactive relationship between the spatiality and culture of the urban open space,through the mapping design operation techniques proposed in the field of architectural landscape,the three method levels of cultural construction are extended.The second part focuses on these three method levels,by analyzing the cultural value orientation of urban open space and the social role change of urban space in the urban cultural environment,and summarizing the types and operating methods of each level from examples one by one.The third part explores how the method framework adapts and changes under other conditions,and emphasizes the strategic principles of practice in the current context,and forms the applicability of the method and suggestions for improvement.The study found that the relevant cultural bearing elements of open space include two forms: interface and form.Based on these two forms,by studying the connotation and characteristics of the cultural field in the open space of the city,from the perspective of cognition and the practical form,it is concluded that the field has the original "spatial interface",and the conceptual illustration.The three forms of "grid boundary" and the "connected platform" intertwined with interfaces are the basis for the construction of open space culture.According to the application context of different cases,this article combines the sources of cultural elements of urban open space and related cases to conclude that cultural translation includes three forms: image description of concrete scenes,separation of morphological sequence order,and cultural emotional symbolic expression,exploring the operation of cultural elements Both locality and rationality must be taken as the basic positions.The translated cultural fragments have the design function of space generation and cultural expression.Finally,based on the basic preparations of the first two steps,it is concluded from multiple dimensions that the reconstruction of cultural fragments includes three ways of two-dimensional organization,three-dimensional form construction,and multi-dimensional space-time construction.After combining and applying these three methods,from simple to complex,from superficial to profound,four cultural perspectives of urban open space are explored: flat cultural collage,three-dimensional cultural superposition,participatory cultural platform,and guided culture Innovation,forming a multi-dimensional study of cultural construction.The research in this article not only proposes a specific method for the cultural construction of urban open space,and judges the positive value of the application of this method,but also deepens the cultural design and creative depth of urban open space.It helps to inspire the cultural innovation of urban designers in the plan,and design an open space with more cultural richness and appeal.For general experiencers,this article will help them have a more comprehensive understanding of urban open space,and deepen their understanding of the experience and connotation of open space culture.
