Electrical connectors are widely used in various fields such as aviation,aerospace,electric power,rail transit,etc.,and play the role of command signal transmission.Among them,the connection state of the contacts has a decisive role in ensuring the signal connection quality of key equipment.During the operation of the equipment,equipment failures caused by the command transmission problems caused by the withdrawal and shrinkage of the electrical connectors account for a high proportion of equipment failures.Insufficient holding force is the direct cause of the problem of pin withdrawal and shrinkage of electrical connector contacts.Therefore,holding force testing is a key step in the inspection process to ensure the quality of electrical connector connections.Traditional detection methods require manual hand-held detection tools to detect the contacts one by one,which not only has low detection efficiency,but also prone to false detections and missed detections.Therefore,this article focuses on the rapid detection technology of electrical connectors,and designs a set of parallel detection devices for the holding force of electrical connector contacts.The overall design scheme of a parallel detection system for the holding force of electrical connector contacts proposed in this paper mainly includes two parts: a mechanical module and a control module.In the system design,Solidworks software was utilized to model the mechanical structure of the system in three dimensions,and combined with the software development requirements of the host computer,the MCGS touch screen was programmed and controlled.The first is the design of the mechanical part of the detection device.In order to fix the position of the electrical connector during the inspection process,a universal fixture suitable for circular electrical connectors is designed;the loading module used in the inspection process is selected,and the linear stepping motor is determined to be used for loading;the inspection is designed The load-bearing frame of the device and its strength check.Then there is the design of the control part of the detection device.As the host computer of the detection system,the MCGS touch screen communicates with the controller through the serial port.After the connector is selected on the MCGS touch screen,the controller controls the movement and loading of the linear stepper motor;at the same time,the host computer adopts cyclic operation The strategy collects and processes pressure data in real time during the detection process,and displays the detection results through the touch screen.Finally,the retention force detection platform was built according to the overall design plan,and the retention force detection of the 18-pin electrical connector 20MD18PN was carried out with the host computer software.The results can accurately identify and mark the needle positions with insufficient retention force,and there is no cases of missed inspections and false inspections.
